It was dinner when Sol made her newest announcement. Everyone was working together to quickly set up her business, and now she had another idea. "Let's throw a ball." Her family looked at her, sans Kai who was still looking at his food.

"You mean the ball our mother planned to murder the lot of us?" Kol asked, harshness sneaking out in his tone.

"Kol, honey, your mother will come back. She deemed it her goal to kill you since she was the one who created you. Wouldn't it be better to be one step ahead of her? May as well finish off the pair and commit matricide. This time, though, we'll make sure she can't use magic to come back anymore."

"How do you intend to do that?" Nik swirled his glass of blood.

"Simple, Kai and I will siphon all her magic. If you'd like to be extra safe, you could just turn her into a vampire." Sol picked up her water, taking a drink. "I think she'll still take the ball as the best opportunity to end you all at once. We'll invite everyone, including those teens. Elena will be the most important guest. Her mother tries to use her blood to link you all. If we have her on the guest list, your mother will be more tempted to show up... Speaking of, we should coordinate with them on this. Have them 'steal' your mother's coffin, let her believe they're coming after us; that they'll help her."

"And if they do actually help our mother?" Rebekah sneered at the idea of working with Elena, and allowing her inside the mansion.

"We'll kill them all," Sol smiled at the blond, voice becoming theatrical. "None of you will be dying while I'm still alive, so have no doubts, my loves." She chuckled at herself before looking over to Kai who was trying to enjoy his meal.

"We can invite your old family, too. Would you like them to see how well you're living now?" A smirk formed on the sociopath's lips at the prospect.

"How could you be so sure they'll show up?" He placed his silverware onto the table, giving Sol his full attention.

"Easy, I'll tell them I've freed their son. They'll want to lock you up; not that we'll let that happen. You can kill them, if you'd like. Just keep it quiet, yes? Don't ruin the party for everyone else. Dealing with Esther will be the main event, we mess this up and we're all dead." Sol stared solemnly at Kai, not wanting to further entertain the idea that this plan could result in everyone's deaths.

"The easiest way to let this play out is to manipulate it to follow what I've seen in the show, but stay ahead of your mother. Is everyone in?" Kai nodded, but no one else said a word. Realizing her insensitivity, she softly continued.

"I know I'm asking a lot. It will be hard to kill you mother, she raised you all. But I firmly believe the moment she turned you into vampires, she stopped being your mother. The moment she thought it her duty to kill you is the moment she stopped being human. This will be a fight for survival, and we either need to be all in or all out. If you don't want to do this, I'll figure out something else that won't put any of you in a difficult position."

The siblings all began to look at one another, sharing a silent conversation. Niklaus was the one to voice their decision. "There's no way we'd let you do this on your own, Little Witch. We'll help you since she's our mother. Much like we are her responsibility, she is also ours. When should we hold the ball?"

"Next week should work," she'd kept her excitement about killing Esther internal, being more sensitive to their feelings about her. "I'll go over to the boarding house tomorrow to speak with the Scooby gang."

"Alone?" Finn grew anxious at the thought of his soulmate going into territory that they weren't sure was entirely friendly.

"No, I'll take Kai. He'll be the least intimidating because they don't know him. It'll be fun seeing him stand in front of Bonnie while she had no clue she helped free him." She smiled at the image in her head.

"Who said I'd go with you?" Kai raised a brow at the witch.

"We did," the rest of the family echoes. Groaning, he realized he had no choice in the matter. It was very apparent that what Sol says, goes. Not that she made bad decisions, but Kai didn't want to waste his afternoon speaking to a bunch of teenagers. He wanted to focus more on what he was going to do to his family when they showed up at the ball Sol wanted to have.

Would he kill them? He definitely wanted to at least kill his father for everything he'd done. It'd leave the coven without a leader, considering Liv and Luke weren't old enough to Merge, and Jo was too old to participate. Taking everything Sol had told him about into consideration, he'd been debating just killing his family and staying with the Mikaelsons. She'd made a good point about not running a declining coven. Why go back to that cursed coven when he could relish in his own power, become even more powerful as vampire with his magic intact?

Kai smirked at the little witch. "I'm in."

At the boarding house, the Scooby gang came together at Sol's request. They were, like predicted, confused at Kai's presence, but he just kept his usual smirk plastered to his lips. Sol told them about their peace treaty and how was to not do anything to destroy it. She coaxed him into agreeing by getting him to focus more on his family revenge than some angsty teens.

Sitting down on a couch, Sol began to explain the plan to them. Unsurprisingly, Bonnie was the one to interrupt. "I'm sorry. You want us to raise one of the oldest, most powerful witches to ever exist? And pretend to help her?"

"Yes, Bonnie. I need this done in a very controlled environment. To do that, I need your full cooperation. Esther is determined to kill her children, and if you remember, all vampires will die if they do. We need to permanently get rid of her. To do that, I need you and your mother to raise her; link her to something that is strong, but won't be much of a loss if destroyed."

"Like what?" Damon huffed.

"I don't know. You figure it out. I can't give you all the answers. I've got to worry about my side of things, too."

"And what do we get if we help you with Mommy Dearest?"

"To keep your lives?" Sol tilted her head, staring at Damon before bursting out into laughter. "I'm half kidding. If Esther does succeed in coming back some other way, and does kill her children, you will die. Otherwise, consider it a favor and I'll owe you each a favor in return."
