Following Sol to the upper level of the house, he trailed behind as she swung open each door. "Are all these rooms soundproof?" Damon asked causally, spotting tears building in Solène's eyes. She hadn't spotted him downstairs, and was officially freaking out. Esther wasn't among the guests either. The siphon could only imagine what she was getting up to at the moment, hopefully, she was trying to link the siblings through doppelgänger blood. Something needs to go to plan. All these disruptions are going to give her heart attacks.

"Yes, Damon," she finally responded once his question processed in her mind. One final door swung open and she spotted Kol. Skin greyed and veiny as he lie motionless on the couch. The witch stumbled in her heels to him, collapsing to her knees beside him. She cried out, seeing him like this. Her eyes trailed to the dagger in his chest. "Did you do this?" Sol harsh voice filled the room.

In contrast to her tone, she desperately reached for the dagger, trying to pull it out. It wouldn't budge. Frantically, she kept pulling at the dagger, totally ignoring the other man's presence in the room.

Only when she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen did she let go of the dagger, a gasp leaving her lips. "Damon?" She asked weakly before a dry laugh escape her lips, falling short from the pain. "Did you literally just stab me in the back? I will kill you if," the woman's words got cut off when a hand covered her mouth.

"Shut up. We don't have time for your threats. She knows we were helping you, and threatened Elena, alright? You know Stef will do anything for her, right? Even if it kills him. However, I trust you more than that old witch, Alaric wants to keep his limbs unbroken, and blondie... well, your friends aren't you?"

"And I had to be stabbed because?" She drew out the question as the new information processes. Honestly, she should've guess Esther would find out. The Scooby gang can't keep anything a secret to save their lives.

"You needed to be 'distracted,' and Kol being daggered was the best way to keep you from interfering. Stabbing you is insurance. Tell them to get you after the toast. She still wants to link the rest and kill Kol while he's down. Old witch made that stake you mentioned, the indestructible one."

"God dammit. Alright, go, I'll play my part. Once this is over, I'm totally going to stab you for this. Try anything funny and you'll all die anyway. Elena first, so you all can watch." Sol turned away from the man, looking once more at Kol. Running her fingers through his hair, she ignored the burning pain in her back. She moved to grab her phone from the pocket the tailor managed to fit into the dress. Texting Niklaus about the new plans, she dropped her phone on the table. Lying her head onto Kol's shoulder, she waited and realized that asshole didn't remove the knife from her back.

"I know you can't hear me Kol, perhaps I'll tell you when this is all over, but I hope you know that I love you. I love you and your teasing, your eagerness to help. Selfishly, I love that your falling in love with me. Selfishly, I want to stay with all of you for the rest of time. Will you let me do that?" Tears slipped from the woman's eyes, voice growing weaker the more she lost blood. "When this is all over, I'm going to drown you in affection, got it? It's your turn for that hot make-out, okay? So, you need to not die tonight." Another laugh pushed past her lips, much to her torso's displeasure.

She wasn't sure how much time had passed when the door finally swung open. There stood her family. Elijah was at her side in a second, examining her. "It's going to hurt, but then I'll give you my blood and it'll be all better." His hand found her cheek. Nodding, she held onto the hand. Her body flinched when he grabbed the knife. The knife was pulled out quickly, and he presented his bloody wrist just as fast.

Sol didn't bother hesitating. Her lips latched onto Elijah's wrist, downing the copper tasting liquid. She could feel him watching her, they all were, Elijah's hand running through her hair as he breaths got shallower. Her body stitched itself back together, a sensation that was foreign to the siphon, and she almost didn't want to stop drinking Elijah's blood. It gave her an almost euphoric feeling. Was that what it felt like to share blood? Did that sensation only happen between soulmates? Does Elijah also feel something sharing blood with the witch?
