Allysa pov
"Guys, are you okay? You look..um..nervous" Jordan said in a video call
"We want to tell you something" I said
"Are you breaking up? Oh my goodness Allysa! Are you pregnant?" He said dramatically
"What? No, I'm not" I replied "we want to tell you something else"
"Okay, I'm listening" he said
"Jared proposed" I started, Jordan looked shocked before putting on a smile
"Already? You've been dating for like two months, is that enough to make a big step?" He asked
"That is more than enough" Jared said "but that is not why I'm sitting here. Allysa refused to wear my ring until..Well, you give us your blessings"
"Me? Why?"
"Because Jordan, you're my brother and a father and a best friend I never had so, he needed to ask you to give us your blessings before I put on his ring" I explained
"Okay, I want to say that I'm honoured that you feel that way about me, and I'm happy for you guys. I know that you have made the right decision cause you two know how you truly feel about yourselves, so I'm giving you my blessings" he said and I jumped in happiness
"Thanks Jordan, You have to be here for the wedding cause you're walking me down the aisle" I said
"Of course, when is the wedding?"
"In three weeks" Jared replied
"Oh! You guys really planned everything, huh?"
"Actually, it's grandfather. We didn't plan a thing" Jared said
"Okay" he paused "um..Jared, can I speak with Allysa? Alone" Jordan asked
"Sure"Jared replied "babe, I will go upstairs to take my briefcase" he said pecking my lips and then he walked upstairs
"Tell me" I said putting my headphones on
"Babygirl, are you sure about this? Don't you think it's too soon?" He asked
"I know it's soon but we love each other that's what matters right?" I asked
"Yeah right" he replied
"But, are you okay though?" I asked
"I'm fine"
"I mean about this" I asked
"Lysa, you know I'm more than okay. Do I still love you? Yes. Do I feel sad? A little. I'm i happy for you? Very. I'm at peace knowing that you're happy baby, my love is not selfish, I've learn to accept it"
"Thank you Jordan. I wish I could hug you right now" I said my eyes getting teary
"Hug me? So we could start crying? No" he said and I smiled widely "that's it. That's the smile I was yearning to see. It has reach your eyes" he said "your boyfriend is coming down" he said and I turn to look at him
"Aren't you done yet? We are getting late" Jared said
"We are done. Jordan, I have to go to the office now" I said
"Aren't you gonna show me the ring?" He asked
"I will send you pictures" I said "Bye, love you"
"Love you too" he replied before I cut him off
"I will never get used to that" Jared said as we walk outside the house
"What?"
"You telling Jordan you love him everytime you talk" he said
"But I do love him" I said getting in the car
"I know and he knows, so why tell him all the time?" He asked
"The same reason why I tell you all the time" I replied
"I'm your fiance Allysa, so it's normal to tell me that"
"And he is my brother"
"A brother/ ex lover and to top it all, he still loves you" he argued
I take deep breaths. This will soon turn into a fight if we both talk back.
"Okay baby, I'm sorry. I didn't think much of it since I always tells him that but now that you're here, maybe I should stop-"
"No my love, it's fine if you want to tell him that-"
"It's not fine baby. I will stop saying that. Period." I said and Jared started to chew his bottom lip hiding his smile.
"I love you Jared" I said running my hand on his thigh.
"And I love you Allysa" he said then he look at my hand on his thigh "but if you keep doing that, I can't guarantee our safety"
I smirked
"No baby, I know that smirk. We are on the road, going to work" Jared warned
"So what?" I asked my hand going up to his zipper
"No Allysa. You're gonna get us killed" he said
"Just a taste. Please.."
"No baby, you will have me later" he insisted and I decided to stop.
Atleast the mood has changed, right?
We drove to the office and for the first time since we started going out, we enter the office together.
People looked at us but we didn't care, we weren't holding hands though.
"Hey Ally, did you meet the boss outside?" Jason asked
"Or maybe she spent the night at his house" Henry added
"Really? Are you sleeping with the boss?" Jane asked
"Yes" I replied shortly
"YES?" They both asked
"Yes to what? To sleeping with the boss?" Henry asked
"Yes, I'm sleeping with Jared. What's the big deal?" I said in frustration
"Nope. There is no big deal" Jason said
"So, since when?" Jane asked and they both came near me to hear the answer
"Such gossipers" I said typing on my computer
They sighed in defeat before going back to work.
Few minutes later, Jared came out of his office
"Babe, should we do it now?" He asked and I nod
Everyone was in shock, seeing Jared, our cold boss, calling me with such gentleness.
"Attention everyone" he said "I want to tell you all that Allysa and I are engaged and we will get married in three weeks"
"Wow" everyone clapped their hands for us "congratulations boss" they said
"We will send you invitation cards in a few days, so for now everyone get back to work" he said and everyone got busy
"As for you my queen, don't overwork yourself" he said tapping my nose with his finger before giving me a kiss on the cheek
People were still in daze, they didn't expect this at all. Given how we both were, angry with authority. Like two Alphas, but in the end we worked just fine.
After Jared dissappear in his office, my phone rang.
"What's up?" I asked
"I've got the information" the other line said "check your email"
"Okay, thanks" I disconnect the call and check my email.
"No way!" My eyes widened at what I saw.
I guess, it's about time I return the favour.
