"Just let me do all of the talking. He won't try to kill you if you keep your mouth shut. He won't have a reason to anyway."
Walter frowned at the warning, raising an eyebrow as Elon opened the door to the firehouse. "Are you sure it's safe to tell him? Maybe we could just send a postcard."
"He's my twin brother. He needs to know so he can be a part of the celebration," Elon reminded him.
"I suppose so..."
Elon smiled, turning his head to kiss Peck on the corner of his mouth before they stepped inside. They found his brother at his desk and Elon gave Peck's hand a reassuring squeeze before they approached. "Brother?"
Egon didn't look up from the work he was doing on a trap he had found to be faulty during one of their jobs. The only sign that he had heard them was a frown that grew on his face and a faint growling sound.
Elon continued anyway. "I wanted to tell you about a certain turn of events," he said. He looked over at Walter, offering the man a small smile. He placed a hand on Egon's desk and cleared his throat loudly to force his brother to look at it. "Walter asked me something last night. I gave him a positive answer."
"What are you..?" Egon shook his head before looking up. Gold on his twin's hand made his eyes widen as he stared. "...what is that?" he asked as he stared at the ring on his brother's hand.
"Walter proposed to me last night, Egie. I said yes," Elon said with a warm smile.
"Walter Peck...proposed to you?" Egon asked.
"Yes."
"Mother said we weren't allowed to marry goyim."
"Walter's grandmother was Jewish."
"Yes, but..."
"Maternal grandmother," Walter helpfully offered.
There was a moment of silence. Elon and Walter shared a smile, believing that Egon was taking the news well. This belief quickly ended when he suddenly vaulted over his desk, tackling Walter to the ground with a scream.
"Egon!"
"Help!" Walter screamed.
"I'LL FUCKING RIP OUT YOUR SEPTUM!" Egon raged.
It would take the combined efforts of the rest of the Ghostbusters and Janine to finally pull Egon off of Walter.
"Welcome to the family, Peck!" Peter chirped, patting the man on the back. "I bet you next time Egon will try to put powdered glass in your coffee!"
Elon huffed, pulling his lover away to hold in his own arms. "He is well aware of what he is getting into," he countered.
"Yeah...well aware," Walter muttered.
