I stood face-to-face with Aurora, waiting for her response. I made a silent prayer to my mom hoping she wouldn't hate me. "I don't know Luna... Is it really "True Love" if it's foretold by some big prophecy?" Aurora said to me after a brief silence. I felt as if everything was crashing around me, this was not how this was supposed to go. "Aurora, please, give it a chance. For me?" I looked at her sincerely, hoping she would agree. "Look, Luna, you're an amazing girl, an amazing person even. But I don't think I can just jump into this right away, and for that I'm sorry." As we stood there in the center of the park we had walked to I felt my blood run cold. It felt as if the icy winds of the winter air were swirling around me. "That's fine, are you okay to walk back on your own? I need to check on something." Aurora nodded but she could tell I was lying, she just didn't want to say anything. As she walked away I felt something inside me snap and everything suddenly felt heavy. When she got out of vision range I broke into a run, I didn't know where I was trying to go, it was just anywhere but there. I kept running and running and running, through the trees, through the plain land. When I stopped, tears streamed down my face. I found myself at a cliff face, which seemed to have a perfect view of the city that lay below. The breeze of the winds, the reverberant noise of the bustling city below, the chirps and barks of animals nearby, and above it all, the golden sun illuminating it all in an almost heavenly light. "Sure would be nice to be normal huh?" A masculine voice called from behind me. I turned to look and almost blinded myself by the light emanating from the man and it was only then I realized who it was. "Lord Solras, my apologies I didn't realize it was you," I said while kneeling in front of him. "Oh Luna, you don't need to kneel to me, you know that." I stood up and dusted myself off. "I know, it's just common courtesy you could say, my mom did raise me to be respectful after all." "That I did, my dear Luna" I turned to find my mother and my Aunt Galaxia, the Deep space goddess standing next to one another. "And to answer your question Solras, no it would not be better if my daughter was normal." My mom cupped my face gently and smiled, "How are you dear? Is everything going well?" she asked me this all with a smile on her face and for some reason I found myself telling them everything, all of it, to The God of the sun, The Goddess of the moon, and lastly the Goddess of Space. My name is Luna Araila and right now, everything sucks.
