sirius black loved the chase. there was something oddly thrilling about going after something he's never get. mindless flirting and staring hoping to get some sort of satisfying reaction, even just a glance, made him feel in control. there were no real consequences of the chase; the judgmental stares from others didn't matter to him and the possibility that they walk up and slap him, well, that could happen anytime really.
he's got one for each class. girls, i mean. it's like a secondary schedule. at 9am he goes to donna for an hour and a half, then at 10:30 he's off to lori. he had no real feelings for any of them. it was just a way to pass time in his boring days of class. he'd never thought of going on a real date with any of them. just pawns in a bigger game.

gwen cameron knew she was beautiful. she took pride in her curves and her shiny hair. it was her ability to sit up straight and walk through the halls without glancing your way that made her so alluring. she was bitchy about men. since she hit puberty she's been under the impression that people either wanted to be her or be with her.
she was rather smart, which surprised most people. she worked hard and studied to fill up her time. sure, she had a social life, but there was no quidditch or special hobbies keeping her occupied. she figured that she should go to school to learn, not be a part of the stupid frog choir.
she'd wake up, go to school, and study after. on the weekends she would party or hookup with some random jock. it was the same routine day in and day out. the most she'd ever stray from her routine was during holiday or upon being invited to slug club parties. in both cases she'd drink and listen to old people talk about boring things and ask about her boring future. it's not like her plans had changed. she'd marry rich and waste her life away.
