Chapter 18- A Failed Plan

El ran to the girl and Hugged her.

"Sorry, who is this?" Mike asked, looking at the girl.

"I'm Kali, Jane's sister,'' she smiled

"Wait, this is your sister?" Mike asked.

"Yes," El smiled. Max and Myself exchanged looks,remembering something

"So is this the real upside down?"

"Hard to say, Corey, you said someone was screaming for help before they were killed right in this house?" El asked.

"I don't know if they were killed but I know for sure I saw blood" I walked over to where I saw it "it's clean,they don't happen to have fabric cleaner down here do they?" I asked. El chuckled.

"if it was blood,it would've stayed,so no Max it's not the real upside down".

"But leaves the question,if it wasn't real,why is he seeing it?" Max asked. I stayed quiet for a second before my thoughts were interrupted by a growl. I jumped.

"t-that's exactly what I heard last time-". Suddenly a Girl,with long black hair,with purple highlights and darker skin,ran fiercely from something and stumbled into the house. "T-that's the girl I saw last time!". El looked at me.

"t-thats my sister-"

"is there any way she can hear us?" Max asked. Before El could answer a creature,Humanoid jumped through the roof and landed on El's sister and bit her leg,as she screamed for help. I blinked before picking up a splintered piece of wood and threw it at the creature. It roared and ran towards me,but Max shoved me out of the way. Then El disappeared.

"Kali, these are my friends,Corey,Will,Lucas, Max and my boyfriend Mike". We waved.

"Hey it's uh, nice to meet you,El told us al-". Mike was cut off.

"Who's El?"

"Me...it's short of eleven,it's my other name that everyone calls me" El explained. Kali nodded.

"Do you care If I call you Jane or not?" She asked.

"It doesn't matter," El smiled.

"Hate to break up this family reunion but we still need a plan" Max said. "And I refuse to go without some sort of weaponry, incase Billy calls more demodogs".

"I can handle the weaponry, My dad has an axe,and a few hunting rifles, plus a sword collection" Corey said smiling.

"Your parents have a weird thing for weaponry" Mike scoffed. "No wonder you're so problematic".

"What the Hell is that supposed to mean?" Corey asked.

"Your corrupting Will. As soon as you came that's when problems started! First you go missing sending Will into a freak out,then you leave at the mall making Will leave us again!" Mike yelled.

"Steady on Mike" I snapped "that wasn't Corey's fault he was running away from his abusive parents"

"It's no different than when I ran away...well for the most part," El added.

"Yeah it is!"

"Mike we almost died '' Lucas cut in.

"I don't care,El was different, she was basically a lab rat. And at least she did help us find Will. What have you done huh?!" Mike snapped.

" If we're playing that game, at least I was Fuckin around, Mike. You know how awkward Will feels whenever he's around you now? Before El and Max came around you 3 were inseparable,now all you two talk about is girls and are always with your girlfriend swapping spit, quite literally in front of him, while he just stands there,he doesn't even feel like a part of the group!" Corey snapped back.
