Ace watches Viggo closely, who is oddly leaning a little closer to Hiccup, his human while the raven-haired as a dragon was forced not to stay close to the brunette. Oddly irritated by this, Ace becomes a little overprotective of his human!

After another successful raid of freeing the dragons from the dragon hunter cages on their ships, it came with a few costs like Astrid's leg having shot rather than her dragon, meatlug's wing having been strained but it was at least minor. Snotlout and his dragon. Before Hiccup can tell his friends to let him know if they've been hurt recently through stating a new rule, a terrible terror flew, landing on the brunette’s hand. As quietly as he read the message, the more he frowned. As tuffnut attempted to ask to take a look at the letter, Astrid raised her arm, growing impatient as she anticipated for Hiccup to say something, since usually he'd do so while he continues to read the message. Ace sat behind Hiccup, surprisingly understanding the runt writing and widened his eyes, it was Viggo, wanting to meet Hiccup.

Alone.

“Talk to us, Hiccup.” the blonde girl shieldmaiden finally spoke, and within a few more seconds of silence, Hiccup finally glanced up at everyone. “It’s from Viggo. He wants to meet.”

A meeting at the hall with the rest of the dragon riders, and Thatch was inside the kitchen close to their hall preparing their lunch. Ace however stood by Hiccup’s side as they all stared at the map with an island encircled red. A finger from Astrid pointed at it. “He picked a spot from out of nowhere. A nice long flight to tire out your dragon.” Astrid named a possibility of what would happen with Hiccup meeting Viggo alone. Snotlout laughed nervously, obviously worried for his cousin.

“Haha! Trap, it's definitely a trap.” the shorter cousin hollered, his arms crossed and glanced at Hiccup whose gaze was still focused on the map. Astrid continued, “Hiccup, he just wants you out there alone so his men can ambush you.”

But Hiccup shook his head, knowing this isn't something Viggo would do. “No. That's not his style.” and Heather agreed with the brunette. “Viggo likes to out-think his opponents.” Hiccup glanced at the raven-haired female in braids. The leader of the dragon riders nodded at her words, “Which is also his weakness.”

“Unless he actually out-thinks you, which sounds like a strength to me.” Tuffnut spoke out his thoughts, followed by a punch on the eye from his twin sister. “Like you weren't thinking it too!” he snarled at his sister, “Of course I was, but I wasn't saying it out loud!” the female twin countered, her tone obviously stating worry for Hiccup knowing her brother doesn't see and understand the brunette isn't yet that confident. “Sorry if my thinking comes out of my mouth.” Ruffnut rolled his eyes, obviously done with the stupidity of her brother. “The things I think, I say out loud.”

“Letting Hiccup know how overmatched he is isn't going to help with his obvious lack of confidence!” she snapped, a hand on her hip and the other curled into a fist, prepared to punch her brother again. “Only he can find the confidence within himself-.” Tuffnut added, and before Ruffnut can pounce her brother, Ace sat between them, growling softly.

Now rubbing his hand down his face with a sigh, Hiccup curled his fist, his decision made. “Viggo will come after us, whether I meet him or not.” with a determined look, he glanced at everyone. “I’m going.”
