"I need this", Harper told her Mom over the phone. She's staring at the address that her Dad gave her. "I freaking need this vacation, Mom. I wanted to clear my head before the semester starts."

"I know sweetheart, but the semester is still 8 months away", her Mom answered. "I don't think you need that lot of time just to clear your head?"

"Mom, if I don't like it there, I'll be home before you know it," she reasoned out." Just let me enjoy this, okay?"

"But, aren't you going to miss us?" her mom asked.

She knew she'll going to say that. Yes, she's gonna miss them, but her mom doesn't know she's doing this to make herself get used to being away from them if ever she'll be away for college.

"Mom, you know I'll miss you", she assured her."But, just let me have this, okay? I'll call you when I get there".

"Harp-", her mom didn't finish her sentence.

She hanged up on her. She loves her mom more than anything, but her whining won't stop if she'll let her.

She puts her earphones on. This is it, she thought to herself. For eight months, she'll gonna live a simple life. A life so opposite to what she had. She'll gonna enjoy this, or she just hoped she will.

Harper was awoken by someone tapping her shoulder.

"Ineng, saan ka ba bababa?" an old lady beside her asked.

She's nervous. She was never been in this place before. Her dad just told her to take this bus to San Antonio.

"Nagbabakasyon lang po", she answered. "My grandfa- I mean, doon po kasi nakatira ang Lolo ko."

" Eh, sino ba Lolo mo?", she asked her.

"Francisco Silva po" she answered politely.

Alam niyang isang mabuting tao ag Lolo niya but it's been 3 years since the last time she saw him.

"Nandito na tayo Ineng", the old lady reminded her.

Her dad should have told him, right?

"Ineng, alam mo ba kung saan ka pupunta?" she jumped a little hearing that old lady's voice again.

The house is not just a simple house; it's bigger than she imagined it to be. The style is not like the houses she used to see. It is not a modern contemporary kind of mansion but a Spanish style type of a house with a little touch of modernism. It's huge and welcoming.
