The Sweetest Scent

Chapter One

It had been a crazy month. Preparations for a new album in-between tour had left them all exhausted. That's the excuse Jisung gave himself over and over for the last few days as his body felt uncomfortable, like his bones were trying to crawl out of his skin.

"Come on, one more time and then we can take a break"
Chan's musky scent was slightly sour as he breathed heavily urging everyone back into their spots to start again.

Jisung pushed back the twinge of pain in his stomach. It's just one more time and then he can try eat something. Surely he's just hungry. Wouldn't be a surprising thing they hadn't eaten in hours.

His body wasn't really agreeing with him though and while he couldn't smell them near at all having not presented he could tell they were all starting to get annoyed that they couldn't stop like they all wanted to and probably felt as bad as he did.

"You okay?"
Minho leant down over where he'd dropped the moment the music has stopped

He nodded despite his mind screaming to tell them he thinks something might actually be wrong.

Minho didn't seem too convinced but didn't say more most likely thinking he was just tired and sore like the rest of them.

Only his stomach didnt feel any better with his stomach full, now sat in the dressing room the group stuffing their faces thankful for food finally.. The contents of it all sitting uncomfortably high in his throat trying his best to swallow it down.

Across from him sat the three omegas. Felix still preening from all the extra attention having finished his heat a few days prior squished comfortably between Hyunjin and Minho.

Jisung wouldn't lie that he wished that was him sometimes. The extra attention the seven gave each other around their ruts and heats. How they all seemed to know how the other was feeling just based on their scent.

He didn't understand. He couldn't. He hadn't presented. The last of the eight. And at his age he didn't think it would ever come. For a long while he'd settled on the fact if he ever eventually did he would probably be a beta. Still somewhat believed that.

He didn't give off that protective aura. That unexplainable powerful feeling alpha's presumably had. But he wasn't soft like an omega either whose faces even when chiselled still seemed sweet and innocent. He was just Jisung. Someone who floated in-between.

Jisung had tried to understand how it all worked. Felix kind enough to describe their scents to him.

How Chan was musky. Likened it to the candy he had growing up as a child back in Australia. How Chan always smelt of home. Fitting for a head Alpha.

Minho with his sweet vanilla scent. That reminded him of cupcakes on his happy days and sweet tea on his cozy days. The eldest Omega.

Felix said Seungmin was literally like a warm blanket straight out of the dryer, with his fresh linen scent that made you just want to crawl into bed with him and lay there forever inhaling him in. And Seungmin would always oblige being a good alpha.

Changbin's scent was like popcorn. Jisung remembers Felix telling him that Changbin's scent was dangerous during those times he was meant to be watching his intake because the buttery salty scent made his mouth water and want to cave in, stating he could almost eat Changbin whole. Jisung believes their alpha would let them if they really asked

Their middle omega Hyunjin smelt gloriously like fresh watermelon. He Smelt like summer and sitting by the beach watching waves crash. Made him long for those moments they had free on the beaches of Australia eating fresh fruit as the wind blew.

Jeongin their youngest and most recently presented Alpha smelt of Mint. Not an overbearing mint. Felix would say he smelt like the mint in mint chocolate icecream but Chan would protest and say it was more of a mint you'd breath in when your nose was stuffy. Akin to healing. Which many could agree Jeongin always felt very healing. Even while being their maknae.
