Turn 57 - Yugure strikes

Hideki and Hiro's duel seemed like it was about to reach its conclusion. While Hidekis monsters were Weakened both had more than enough attack points to take Hiro out in a single attack. Meanwhile hiro now had a single card in his hand and nothing on his field. How would this duel turn out?

Turn 6(Hideki/Continued)

"I end my turn...and thanks to the effect of bladed coated both my monsters turn to defence Position." Hideki stated as both destroyer dragonoid and destroyer end dragonoid lowered to their knees with their wings closed.

"It's over." Hideo looked at the field with his arms crossed. "The odds here are too stacked against Hiro. Even with Hidekis monsters weakened hiro has nothing he can use to win now."

"Don't sell him short Hideo." Yushida looked at him as he spoke. "In my own duel with Hideki I was on the ropes like this as well. He still has some life points left and that means he can still keep going."

Turn 7(Hiro)

"It's my turn Hideki...I draw!" Hiro drew his card now holding 2 cards in hand. "I have what I need to win now!"

"Oh do you?" Hideki asked.

"I do...I play the spell card flame sword fusion!" Hiro placed the card on his duel disk. "This lets me send monsters from my hand or field to the graveyard or if i control no cards I can use monsters from my deck as fusion material to summon a fire attribute monster!" Hiro took his deck and searched it before removing 2 cards. "I send misaki the legendary swordsman and flame manipulator from my deck to the graveyard so I can fusion summon flame swordsman!" A stream of bright orange flames burst from the ground between Hiro and Hideki as a man clad in a blue tunic with an orange half helmet, set of pauldrons and loincloth emerged. Brandishing a large orange broadsword to cut through the flames. (Flame Swordsman- LV5/ATK1800/DEF1600)

"All that...for a puny monster like that?" Hideki looked at Hiro with a slightly confused expression.

"I'm pretty sure even you know that some decks have a certain focus...take your destroyer dragonoid for example." Hiro took his deck once more. "Flame sword fusion has a second effect...if I fusion summoned a flame swordsman using this card I can equip a salamamdra straight from my deck to him!" Hiro placed the card from his deck onto his duel disk. "And this equip spell gives him 700 more attack!" As hiro placed the card onto his duel disk a dragon shaped flame began to sprout from the hilt of the sword of the Flame Swordsman. (Flame Swordsman ATK 1800 - 2500)

"So hiro can deal with destroyer dragonoid?" Izuna smirked slightly. "He's doing really well...last time they dueled Hiro couldn't even beat it once now he's actively stopping not only that but even Hidekis destroyer end dragonoid."

"That may be but even then if he doesn't beat them he loses next turn." Casey stated as she looked at the field. "He's done well so far but he still has to consistently deal with both monsters."

"I think he will." Yushida spoke in response also looking at the field. "He's not out of options yet."

Hiro looked up at destroyer dragonoid and then began to chuckle. "You know...that monster used to be a something I was scared of...but now I'm about to destroy it!"
