Neteyam

We had arrived back to the village it was dark and we all had tears stained on our faces.

It was time to sink Neteyam into the ground under the sea, I helped Tuk stay above water as I lightly pushed the huge leaf Neteyam was on.

I cried a little as I help my parents sink Neteyam down. When I resurfaced I silently cried.

Even though it's been an hour I was still crying, I was crushed, my brother my bestfriend died and I could of saved him.

I blamed myself I was there I could of pushed him out the way, I was to late....

It was the next day and my head was pounding from all the crying I did.

I had got ready and set out for the tree of souls.

When I got their I saw my parents with their cue connected to the tree, I did the same.

I opened my eyes and saw Neteyam I ran and hugged him.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you!" I cried

"It's not your fault okay." He hugged me tightly

I hugged him back tightly and cried in his arms.

"I love you brother, I have to go I'll miss you."

"I love you baby sis, promise to visit me okay."

"I promise."

I when back to my familys hut I looked at Neteyams stuff in the corner, I took his head piece and put it on.

After I just walked around think of all the good times I had with him, like the time when I first met (I don't remember if I named the Ikran🥲, ima just name her Ria😁) Ria and he laughed at me the whole time but I got my revenge by stealing his fruits the next morning, I giggled a little.
