a black haired handsome swordmaster was walking down the halls of the henituse's mansion sneeking stealthy behind his subordinate who was acting weird this late week

Choi han's unfocused eyes were looking in the distance even thought he was skillfuly behind cale's traces , his mind was in chaos as he hesitated

should he be worried or warry ?

he noticed distraughting changes in cale's behaviors since the day he sent him and raon out together , it seemed normal at the beginning , just some random smiley faces at random timings although he was creeped out by it as it was a sight he rarely saw he didn't think much of it

but that was just the start

small chuckles were added to the smiley faces and the time he used to pass slacking or sleeping was now spent in hollowing over halls and specificaly a certain room

but then dramaticly the smiley faces turned into grim ones by the end of the week as the red haired noble's mood dropped suddenly

as much as it bothered him he preferred the random creepiness over the tense air around his subordinate

' is Cale-nim okay ?'
was a question he was intended to ask before he heard some whispers from passing servants

" did you know that the young master bought a guest here ?"

' what guest ? , when did that happen ?'

his worried face manifested into a confused one as his loud thoughts overwhelmed the hushed murmurs andthe rest of the gossip was gone unheard as he couldn't help but wonder

' did he bring the guest in after sending me and raon out ? , but ...why would he be hiding the guest from us?'

his questions from earlier changed from why to who

' who was this guest to make cale-nim act like this?'

and of course without feeding his mind with more of these thoughts he reached out to Cale directly in hope for an answer but he was shut down each time he asked with the answer

" you will know when the time comes "

and instead of feeling relived , he got more worried as cale's face got more sour and gloomy each passing day
so he now switched from asking about the guest to insisting on meeting them
but got rejected multiple times

and now here he is sneaking behind Cale who has stopped in front of the slightly different room

for him to feel an unbelievable intense death aura coming from the room

' IS THE GUEST TRYING TO KILL CALE-NIM!?? '

but seeing how cale was very calm as he went in the room he dusted that thought away

and closed his eyes with his hands naturaly moving to his chin , he stayed like that for a couple of minutes before his eyes shot open again with a conclusion ringing in his head

' this must be related to his orders from two weeks ago '

remembering how Cale has told him to contact the ex-priestess cage and tell her to come to the territory per his request

' he might be recruiting in more allies to expand his information network '

' and the guest must be some expert assassin or trained spy '

convinced by the misunderstood conclusion Choi han face beamed from behind the shadows of cale

' he's negotiating with someone dangerous by himself instead of letting one of us do it '
