"Family of Giovanni Caldi?" A doctor finally came out after so many hours. "I'm so sorry, we did everythi-" her voice faded out and I could just read her lips as I broke down. "He didn't make it" she said slowly. Her words started to fade out as I sobbed uncontrollably. "Ms. Smith" I jumped out of my sleep devastated, I looked around at everyone asleep in the waiting room and caught my breath. I hate nightmares.
"Ms. Smith?" The doctor said again bringing me back to reality, I searched her face for some type of emotion but she kept a straight face "he's okay, he just came out of surgery. He'll be out for a while, room 5104" she read my mind, finishing her sentence with a smile before walking off into the hospital. I cried and found a seat close to me, I felt like the air was so thick and I was waiting for so long, Siobhan woke up and started to look around he moved Raiis' head off his shoulder slowly and started walking over to me "what happened?" He asked lowly sitting down next to me.
"He's okay" I said after gathering myself together, we both let out a sigh of relief and laughed. "You wanna go up?" He asked "yea, 5104. Ima wake everyone up you go first they said he won't be up for a while"
I stood up and wiped the sweat from my hands off on my blood stained outfit, even though I had on black you could still see the streaks. I couldn't wait to get out of these clothes.

I looked around, rolling my eyes as I realized where I was at. "Nigga sit yo ass down before blessing come in here and beat yo ass" Sioban walked in as I was getting off the bed. "Bless ain't doing shit" I laughed. "yea aight" he said shaking his head. Right on que everyone walked in the room "Giovanni why are you out of the fucking bed" Bless walked into the room last, speaking softly.
I automatically sat down, everyone in the room started laughing making me scrunch my face up. "Your momma on her way here" she said fixing me in the bed, I watched her every move. "what?" she whispered "you okay?" I whispered back making her laugh "are you okay?" she ignored my question "I'm chilling" I said nonchalantly. Her face went soft, I grabbed her hand as she sat down and realized it was blood stained. The memories of last night started to flood my mind. I closed my eyes for a second "what happened?" I asked, hoping they knew what I meant specifically. The room was quiet and everyone just looked at Blessing then looked away "I'll tell you later" she half smiled and I shook my head.
The door opened and my Mother walked in with my father and the rest of my brothers. "Who shot me but cha punks didn't finish" Givan came in rapping making Sioban laugh hard. "That ain't funny now cut it out" my momma rolled her eyes walking over to me. "Thank you" she gave Bless a hug and she walked off to go talk to everyone else. "Now how this happened?" My momma asked as my father walked over, watching quietly. "Some nigga at a kickback, dassit Bless was tryna get me out the way bu-". "She stood in front of a bullet for you?" My father asked with his eyes wide, I just shook my head "so who is this guy?" "I think she took care of it" I said lowly, my parents and I all had the same shocked expression "I knew I liked her since y'all went to school together" my momma smirked. My father just winked in my direction.
I looked at my parents, then over to Bless and laughed to myself. It looked copy and pasted, some hours went by and everyone was complaining about taking a shower. Everyone got up and started to head back downstairs, blessing sat still nodding off here and there "Blessing you can go with them, go get changed" my momma said making me snap my neck towards her. Bless bust out laughing, "it's okay, my cousin finna bring me some stuff so I can just shower here" she said softly smiling. My momma slapped my leg "boy that ain't right, she needs to get out them clothes" she scolded me "momma if you wasn't in here she would've been out them clothes" I mumbled "GIO!" Bless gasped and my momma sucked her teeth. Raii and Leilei brought Bless a big ass bag a few hours later, they didn't stay too long.
