Princess Pov

I woke up startled due to the first wife yelling at me saying it's the afternoon and I should be up by now.

"LUX IT'S 12:06PM YOU NEED TO GET UP GUESTS ARE COMING TO MEET YOU AND THERE GOING TO BE HERE SOON!"

I sat up and yelled back at the first wife "OKAY!" I looked over to the open windows and the bright sun was coming into my room. The sun felt so warm on my face I could just lay back down and sleep more. But the first wife would yell at me. I got out of bed to go get dressed, as I was going to my closet I heard my older brothers Ozias, Amias, and Ambrose talking about going into the town.

"Hey there's a new tavern opening up I heard" Amias said.

"We should check it out then" Ozias said.

I heard Amias and Ambrose agree. I would love to go with them but I can't because there's a chance that I'll get taken by a random person to marry their son..

But I really want to go. 'No harm will come if I leave the palace just once right?' I thought to myself then I quickly go to get dressed before my brothers leave...

"HEY WAIT!" I say kinda out of breath from running from my room all the way the the main door.

"What is it Sister?" Ozias says.

I catch my breath and answer him.

"Can I please go to the village with you guys today? Please I swear I won't wander off!"

"No." Ambrose says.

"I know you think I'll get bride-napped but it won't happen Ambrose I swear!" I say back to him.

"I said no, also my mother wants you to meet some people today I thought."

"But-" Amias cuts me off before I can finish.

"Lux you can't I'm sorry. But maybe if you wait for your personal guard to get back from war, maybe father will let you." Amias tells me.

I stand there for a second the hall goes silent for a bit then I speak up. "Okay.." I say.

My brothers tell me goodbye and leave.

My personal guard they were talking about is one of the strongest guards we have. She's from the Onyx empire, the place of elves. She's not only my guard though she's my best friend so I really hope she makes it back from war. Even though people in the royal guard think the opposite because they're just jealous or don't want to believe a girl is stronger than them.

I feel a bit better now that I have thought of Elenore, but kinda sad because she had to go. 'Elenore will be back!' I thought and started to smile a bit.

"Are you ok princess, Why are you just standing there?" I hear someone say, probably a maid I thought.

"I'm fine I was just saying goodbye to my brother's they went into town." I turn around and see that it is Millie! The smile on my face gets bigger.

"Good morning Millie!" I say.

"It's afternoon now. Remember you woke up late again!" She says laughing a bit.

I laughed a bit to "oh yeah I forgot." I say.

"Come on now miss Lux, I have to get you ready for the guest. Expeshly because the first wife and king Lucius will be choosing your husband!" She said in a more excited way.

"What!?" I say back in a shocked tone.

"Oh dear did no one tell you? I'm sorry I would of told you but I thought you knew!" Millie said

"No I wasn't told but thanks for telling me..!" I say trying to act happy but my smile already faded.

"Come on let's get you ready." Millie said while walking away. I follow her back to my room.

There was a bit of silence then Millie said something breaking the silence.

"What's wrong miss Lux? You're more quiet than normal and don't think I didn't see that smile fade when I told you you're getting married."

"I'm sorry but I don't want to get married Millie! They don't even let me outside and then I have to get married." I say back to Millie.

"Oh so that's what this is about. You tried to go outside again with your brothers didn't you." Millie said.

"Yes I did but they didn't let me." I say in an upset tone.

A silence fell down the room I looked up at Millie who didn't say anything and just kept brushing my hair. Then Millie sighed.

"If you swear nothing will happen to you and you'll come back I can get you out and say that I couldn't find you." Millie said.

"REALLY!" I turn around in my chair and say excitedly.

"Of course darling your twenty Turing twenty-one! I agree with you. You should be able to go outside." Millie says looking at me in the eyes.

"Thank you so much Millie!" I say back to millie standing up and hugging Millie.

Millie takes me to a secret entrance of the castle walls, it was at the very back of the garden. There was a big stone wall that went around the palace. It was beautiful in my opinion since it has been there for a while, there were vines and moss growing from it adding a lovely look to it.

Millie then showed me how to open the door and close it for when I'm on the other side and I need to get back in. I left for a bit after Millie told me to be safe and make sure I came back.

When I got out side and shut the door behind me I looked out to the village surrounding the palace that was on a hill. It was beautiful. There were a bunch of villagers walking around and talking, there was also a big group of people surrounding a place 'That's probably where my brothers are.' I thought to myself. Then a big gust of wind came by and it felt way stronger than the wind that came by in the garden probably because the walls made it weaker. I close my eyes and take a breath in, and breathe out after a bit.

I looked over past the village and saw the wonderful grasslands that I heard people talk about. Apparently that is something our empire, Tazia Empire, is famous for. It was amazing. 'Im glad I got to see it.' I thought to myself and smiled a bit.

I start walking down to the Village. I did have to sneak past the guards though that was easy enough. Before I actually entered the village, I put my hood on just in case. I walk into the village and look around and it all looks so cool! I'm kind of upset, I've never thought of sneaking out before.

Wow this shop looks nice I love the dress. 'We should give the villagers more chances to make clothes for us in the palace.' I thought as I went into the shop, and I was looking around when I got chills and a weird feeling.. 'is someone following me or watching me I can't tell. I need to get back to the palace.." I thought to myself as I started walking outside and towards the way I came to the village. Then it happened. I was right, someone was following me. Suddenly out of nowhere someone covers my mouth and knocks me out.
