Tw: major character death, gore, can it be considered unsympathetic Patton/Logan/Remus if they don't really know? Um not a lot but also lots at the same time, characters watching other character's death. Cannon diverse, Orange side name and trait.
This isn't my poem it is the poem "A Poison Tree" by William Blake

I was angry with my friend;

Roman had had a disagreement with Patton over selflessness a couple weeks after POF which had left Patton in a sad state and Roman in a angered one. Roman had went to his room, which was covered in a thin layer of broken glass. Roman just walked over the glass, it would go back to normal after Roman calmed down. He went to the only unbroken mirror, seeing a black suite wearing version of himself.

I told my wrath, my wrath did end.

"I got in a argument with Patton"
"Really? Over what?" The figure smirked, fake worry in it's voice.
"I was self-sacrificing again, but dad just doesn't get it! If I don't, I'm not good. Right?" For the second time in his life he was unsure. The first was Nico, and wether Thomas was ready to date again, but Virgil had reassured him that Thomas was, because Virgil himself was.
"Of course, Patton doesn't get it. He's not you." His words were like honey, Roman was a ant and got trapped in the lies. Believing them all, to the point where it would drag Janus to the room. Roman soon started to feel better, and the figure had a smirk. It knew what it was doing and Roman let it. And in a hour he was better

I was angry with foe:

Roman had another altercation, this time with Janus. The subject was the same as when he fought with Patton. This happened a month after POF. Roman was angry beyond belief, Janus had the gull to say that Roman himself was detrimental to Thomas mental health! Roman was DATING Virgil, the inbodyment of Thomas' mental health.

I told it not, my wrath did grow

Roman's eyes glanced towards the mirror, but shook his head and left to find his boyfriend. Unknown to the Prince, a tree had sprotted which fed on his wrath for each side who happened to upset him.

And I watered it in fears

Roman soon gained knowledge of the tree and went to tell it is worries, he didn't know why he just did, the pull of the tree to great to resist. When ever he visited it, the thing had grown. He told it his fears more and more, unknownest the nurturing that Roman was giving it.

Night & morning with my tears

Instead of going to Virgil as a shoulder to cry on,he would go to the mirror figure. Night and day growing more reclusive. Bearley telling Virgil anything, the mirror figure listened and told him what he needed to hear, what he wanted to hear.

And I sunned it with smiles,

Roman had shut himself away weeks ago when he had hurt Virgil, now his only friend was the mirror figure, smiling and chatting to him as a way to ignore Virgil's worried pleas and banging on the door.

And with soft deceitful wiles.

The mirror man; Vex, Roman had called him,had started to lie to Roman playing his little tricks on Roman and Janus, Janus had found out. When going to check on Remus, Janus had checked on orange too. When orange had opened his door in a black and orange clad version of Roman's outfit, Janus was done with trickery's tricks.

And it grew both day and night.

Little did everyone know that the tree Roman had been nurturing had been moved to the prince's room where he continued to water it and take care of it. Janus had turned up at his door a hour ago spouting some nonsense about trickery being Vex, but Vex had said that was false and Roman only trusted Vex.

Till it bore an apple bright.

Vex was marching his way to Roman's room the tree had done all he needed, there was a lovely red dripping apple, picking it Vex put it were the apple Virgil would cut up for Roman today would go. As the rest of the house slept he crept away into a quiet hiding place to watch  the fallout of sides destructions. Soon Virgil would have woken and cut up the apple to leave it infront of the red and white clad side's room.

And my foe beheld it shine,

The prince picked up the bowl of apple enamoured by the soft shine that the skin held deep down all of Roman's fears and dispares, he took it into his room sitting on the bed

And he (wouldn't have a clue/)knew it was mine.

The sweet smell of apple invaded Roman's mind and as he ate a slice his fate was sealed

And into my garden stole,

Vex slowly left his hiding place, walking into Roman's room the biggest smirk on his face.

When the night had veild the pole;

As day in the mindscape began all the sides bar one made their way to the kitchen,  no one had any idea what fate had befell the poor Prince.

In the morning glad I see;

Vex's smirk almost cracked open into a almost snake like look it would even scare Remus is he saw.

My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

Roman lay on his bed a thick black substance dripping from his mouth and onto his bedsheets, his eyes wide and laden with shock. The apple slices were nothing but this foul substance that had only filled the Prince's lungs.
There was no way to tell if Vex had seen the Prince panic as death etched ever closer but all that is for certain is no one ever questioned if the fanciful figment that stood in his normal place was the true side or not, or if a dastardly act had taken place.
No one but the yellow clad snake had questioned it at least.

Thank you for reading this work that I have been putting of posting for a while.
