The Gravity Knight

A very long time ago, what must have been 100 years in the past, there is a kingdom, going by the name of Eto. A kingdom so grand and so beautiful that no other kingdom can match the beauty and wealth that it has, as well as the power that it has in its possession. It is a kingdom that was peaceful, grand, and very loved, with the members of the royal family even loving their subjects and treating them as if they are their own child. The royal family even possesses powers unlike any other, powers to manipulate the forces of gravity, with the aid of their guardians, and the kingdom, it is mostly at peace.

One day, people who lived at the lower levels of of the World Pillar feared the impending doom that is the dark ocean would consume them, and so they travelled up the world pillar. The people who survived the dangerous journey up the pillar eventually built the city of Eto. Sooner or later, they, or their descendants, discovered a woman that has the power to manipulate electricity, with a mind so destructive and chaotic, which lead to them imprisoning her within a crystal inside the Crystal Palace because they felt threatened by her and her power.

At some point, a new Queen was chosen as the next ruler, after the previous ruler before her died. When a ruler passes, the royalty succession of Eto is chosen through divine revelation by the Senate rather than any royal lineage, and they select from one of the children in Eto to be the next ruler, bringing them back to the castle afterwards. The Queen was a special case, however, as she was chosen at an older age, which is usually not how the royal successors are chosen.

The Queen was not very happy with her life, being forced out of her previous family and causing some of the servants to make fun of her for being unable to summon a Guardian, the mark of an Eto ruler. However, the Queen wanted nothing more than to help people and did everything in her power to do so, and even went as far as to befriend a member of the senate.

During the Queen rule, she had to attend Royal Audiences—a royal hearing event—where, while sitting in her throne, members of the Senate would attend and either entertain her with stories, or discuss economical and political matters, weekly, if not daily. One of the most popular political matters was about the rising dark ocean at the bottom of the world pillar, even though it would not actually reach them for one-thousand years. She even wanted to help the people below the city, by evacuating them to Eto because of the impending threat. Neither the Senate, nor anyone else agreed with her wishes, except for the citizen that she had befriended, and it was being proposed that she be disposed of by Xicero. The friend of the queen tried to stop him, but even he was thrown away. However, what Xicero did not expect, was being attacked by someone, which is none other then the queen's knight.

The knight, who is one month younger then the queen, was a very well known person, one of the strongest knights of the kingdom. But what made him very unique, is his loyalty to the queen. The queen entrusted her knight to always remain loyal to her, and in return, he pledged his loyalty to serve her and honor her, a relationship so close that the queen and the knight love each other. And so, in this act of betrayal, the knight became consumed with rage, and attacks Xicero. His vengeance so deep that he shows no mercy to the traitor. He attacked viciously, he showed nothing more then violence and wrath to the traitor of the queen, ready to make him pay for his act, even taking away one of his arms when the sword he had separated one of his shoulders from the rest of the body. Xicero begged for mercy from the knight, but he received none, as he is ready to kill him. But the darkness struck hard at the knight, and made him lose his memory, as the darkness thrown him away, but not before he crippled the traitor for life. But as he fell, although he is not related to any royal family, he summoned his guardian, and it saved his life, as he fell into the same realm that the queen and the citizen would fall into, with Xicero, in his agony in the loss of his limb, struggled to return back to the kingdom that he once lived in, forever remembering this shameful experience from the one he had enraged.
