Elon frowned, watching as Egon turned on yet another generator. "Are you sure you need to have all of these electronics on at the same time, Egon? It would be far more efficient if you would turn off the ones you don't need at the moment to focus on the ones you need."
"Are you sure your presence is needed?" Egon muttered, refusing to look at his twin.
Elon just huffed, rolling his eyes as he looked over the equipment and tools. "This is why the EPA is breathing down your neck. With me around you could at least avoid getting threatened with a fine every other week! But you need to listen to me when I give you good advice!"
"I would rather deal with Peck than have to listen to you."
"You're such a fu..."
"Egon! There you are! I was looking all over for you!" A shorter man in glasses Elon had not seen before entered the lab, smiling up at Egon with a stack of papers in his hands. "I tried looking for you outside. Then I tried downstairs. I was going to check the basement but Janine said you were most likely upstairs so I went up there but you weren't in the kitchen but then I remembered you're always doing testing so then I went to the lab and here you are!"
Elon stood quietly, listening as the smaller man continued to ramble up at his twin. He tilted his head, his eyes drifting over the man's face. It was a rather nice face. It was the kind of face he wanted to touch and see how warm it was.
The thought made Elon blush, his eyes widening in surprise at himself. His blush grew darker when the man turned to look at him and Elon cleared his throat as he ran his hands over his shirt and started to fix his hair.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't notice you there!" Louis chirped. He held a hand out to him, smiling as the other took it. "I'm Louis Tully!" He tilted his head, frowning as he looked over the other. This stranger was the same height as Dr. Spengler and his face looked nearly identical. The only difference was his bleached hair in the funny looking pompadour and his glasses being a bright red plastic. "Say, has anyone ever said you kind of look like..."
"Louis, this is my twin Elon. He's here to bother us endlessly about our electricity usage in lieu of Peck coming down to do it himself," Egon said as he finished signing the last paper. He handed them back to Louis, raising an eyebrow when he noted the way Elon and Louis were still looking at each other. "Was there something else, Louis?" he pressed, bringing Louis' attention back to him.
"Hm? Oh! No! No, I just needed...some papers to get signed. Thank you, Dr. Spengler!"
"I'm a doctor too," Elon blurted, "I studied earth science."
"Oh wow! I bet your parents are super happy to have two geniuses, huh?" Louis asked.
Egon made a snorting noise and Elon shot him a dangerous look. He looked down at Louis and smiled, clearing his throat. "I look forward to seeing you again, Mr. Tully."
"You can call me Louis! All my friends do!"
Elon smiled, his heart beating just a little faster as he breathed, "Louis."
The Spengler twins watched as Louis left. Egon turned to Elon, giving him a knowing look. "You're not..."
"I want to pick him up and kiss him!" Elon chirped. "He's so small and cute! He's like a puppy!"
Egon groaned, shaking his head before going back to his work. "He's our only lawyer. Try not to scare him off, Elon!"
Elon turned his nose up, placing a hand on his hip as he made a dismissive gesture in Egon's face. "I make no promises," he said.
