Chapter 17: Guest

Brice's PoV
It's been quite a bit since The captain, Kwazii, and Peso left, and Kiki hasn't left the greenhouse since. I decided to go check on her. I got up to the greenhouse, and she wasn't there. I looked afar and saw her swimming around with Dashi. I smiles a little at the sight, now knowing that Ki is safe. (Ki is Kiki's nickname) I decide to go back down into the Launch Bay to help Tweak with fixing stuff. I left the greenhouse and make my way down to my destination. Right as I pass by the water, I get splashed. I sputter as the 3 animals jump out of the gup. I wipe my eyes, unable to see what's going on as I cough. "Sorry, Brice." The captain apologized as I yelled in Spanish. I shook myself dry as I opened my eyes. That's when I saw another cat. Not Kwazii, but another orange cat. His paws seemed damp. I saw some soaked strands of fur on his cheek, arms, etc. I don't dare ask who the other cat is, though. Instead, I just go my way to find Kiki outside.

Kiki's PoV
I took pictures with Dashi at the Reefs, and boy, was it fun. Although, I still hate the flash, since it hurts my eyes. Suddenly, Brice gently gripped my arm, slightly pulling me back. "Yeah?" I asked, tilting my head. "I don't want you out here for much longer. You know what almost happened to me yesterday, after all." I nodded, swimming back with Brice and Dashi.

We got into the octopod, and I almost slipped when touching the solid deck. "Oh, why is there water here?" I asked as my tail swayed behind me. "I got splashed earlier." My brother sprayed water in my face, and I squeaked. I then walked over to the ladder, before hearing my brother's voice. "Wait, Kiki?" I turn my head slightly. "Yes?" "Is there something you're not telling me?" I remain silent, before climbing up the ladder. Just before I disappear into the next room.. "Everything is fine." Just like that, I climbed up to the next room.

Peso's PoV
I carried the damp-furred cat to the sick bay, to which he passed out. "Kwazii, don't touch the other's belongings." I scolded the well-known cat as he tried holding a sword. He yowled in disappointment as he set the sword back. Suddenly, we hear tiny footsteps among the halls, and we heard it coming closer to the sick bay. Kwazii and I already knew who it was, and he stood near the doors. A little ferret by the name of Kiki walked in, only to be carried up in the air by Kwazii. Startled, she kicked the air, before realizing it was just the pirate cat she gets along with really well. She giggles after realizing. "Kwaziiiii!" She kicked the air once more as the cat holding her chuckled. He set the ferret down, who requested to know what we were doing. "I'm just taking care of another patient we found on the side of the river." I told her. She gently felt the patient's wet paw, confused. "Why was he on the side of the river?" Kiki asked, tilting her head. I told her that we didn't know, and she just shrugged.

Kiki's PoV
I went to my room shortly after hanging out with Peso and Kwazii, and I started working on an essay. Apparently, Shellington needed some research on land animals. Y'know, since Kwazii is always on missions. I hear the patient wake up from afar, and I smile a little. The moment I finish up the third paragraph of my essay, Brice comes in. "Yes?" I ask. "I need to talk to you about something. Come near the sick bay." I nodded and proceeded to walk over there.

"What's up?" I asked. "Father's coming back for more.. he wants to see you in pain. He wants to see you mentally destroyed, and we need somebody to stop him. Because he's arriving when the captain's out on a mission." "...So I'll have to go with them." I conclude. We haven't realized that the patient was eavesdropping on our conversation...

(Although this chapter was short, I'm giving you guys something exactly on the day of my 'deadline' for posting another chapter. Also, I won't be active for a bit since I have a friend coming over later. But anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter! ^^)
