"Excuse me mdm, can I see Emma for a minute" asked Jake. "Yeah sure." / "What's wrong?" I asked. "Mdm Olivia want's to see you..I mean both of us later...recess time" / "Why?" / I dont know just come..I'll wait for you." I was actually wondering why would mdm wants to see us all of a sudden.
'RIIIINNNNGGGG' "Emma aren't you going for recess?" Asked my friends. "No, you go without me. I have to see mdm Olivia." / "Let's go, she will be waiting for us in the staff room."Said Jake/ 'KnOck²'/ "Mdm Olivia?" / "Ah yes, come in." / "So I have great news for both of you. Well, you have been choosen by the headmaster to join a program and vacation in Paris and New York where you will be divided into teams and solve mystery during the 2 months period, you two are so lucky to be given this oppurtinity and you two are the only one from our country to join this program. So dont miss this once in a lifetime experience.
"Wait, did you just said Paris?" I asked. "Yeah she did you idiot" said Jake while hitting me with his elbow. "Yes, my dear its Paris and New York" I was so shocked and happy. I mean I really wanted to go to Paris since I was kid. It was my dream destination...I mean who doesn't want to go Paris??? I said to myself.
"Ok so both of you this form is to give it to your parents, tell them to read all the inquiries and sign it." / Mdm what about our expenses?" Asked Jake. "Don't worry my dear, the school will arrange all of your needings and the Prime Minister even gave us money for our expenses there. All you need to prepare is of course, your identity card, passport, handphones and all the important stuff. So if your parents agree about this trip, the headmaster will book a flight and we will be going there in another three weeks." / "Oh alright mdm, thank you mdm"/ "Thank you mdm." / "Remember to send the form back friday, recess time" mdm reminded us.
" Jake, if our parents allow us to go, we will be going to Paris and New York!"I said excitedly / "Uh yes....but I think my father would never allow me to go.." / "But...why?" / "You know him, sometime he's just too overprotective.." / "Well you have to convince him to let you go."/ "He wouldn't want to listen to me...sorry Emma I think I'm not going with you..." Tears coming out of his eyes and he walked away.
I felt so bad for him. I know he really wanted to go but wait.... if he can't convince his own father, maybe..a friend of him can help to convince his father. After school, when Jake was out for piano lesson, I went to his house to convince his father to let him go for that program.
"Sir, please allow your son to go for that program. I mean its a once in a lifetime experience for him and plus the program took place in Paris and New York. You dont even have to pay for the tickets, the school will provide all of it." / "Young lady, do you have any reasons that are reasonable to allow me to let my son go?" / " I promise I will take care og him for you" / "Mmm, fine I will allow him to go and you have to promise me to take care of him during the 2 months time." / "Yes, sir. I promise. Thank you sir!!" / "Hmm..What a brave girl just like her mother"
While I was going out, Jake just came back from his piano lesson. "Hey Emma! What were you doing in my house" / "Sorry Jake got to go, its urgent" / "Jake, I will allow you to go for that program. Thanks to your girlfriend who convinced me about it." / "Dad, she's not my girlfriend." / "Oh! She's not...well she's beautiful and brave enough to convince me to let you go. My son, you really knows how to choose the best girlfriend." / "Dad, how many times do I have to tell you..she's not my girlfriend..she's just a friend...a really close one.." When I mean close, I mean it. We've been friends since kindergarten and she knows me better than myself.
