Victoria and Mackenzie walked out of their classroom after a day of difficult drudgery.

"Boy, Kenzie, that was some hard work, wasn't it?" asked Victoria quietly.

"Victoria, isn't it always?" The young werewolf sounded bored.

"Good point."

"Hey, guys!" A cheery voice sounded from nowhere.

"Hey, Nat," the two girls replied in unison.

Natasha fluttered down as her wings retracted.

"Yech! Will you stop that? Either always stay up or always down!" Mackenzie exclaimed.

"Sorry, I can only stay up for five hours a day, otherwise my wings fall off and I become.... normal. But if I never stretch my wings, they still fall off and I become normal." She shuddered. "You don't want me to have to leave you guys, do you?"

The true answer was yes, but instead they just shook their heads and looked out the window.

"Ah, I won't be seeing you tonight. Full moon. Should be interesting, no?" Mackenzie was right. She was looking more and more wolfish by the minute.

Just then, an announcement came over the PA system. "All werewolves please report to their Transformation Room at once. The full moon is quickly approaching."

"Catch you later!" Mackenzie grinned and sped off.

Two weeks later, Victoria, the vampiress, was preparing for the new moon- the vampires' transformation night.

"Hey Vic, you coming to our GN tonight?" Kenzie sounded excited.

"Sorry, guys, but look at the moon chart. You'll have to reschedule the Girls' Night."

"Ah, crap! Why does the moon mess everything up?" Kenzie was really angry.

Vic soothed her. "Kenzie, don't worry! I'll take care of everything, I promise. Just calm down, and it'll all be okay. Do you need a fork?" She added that last part because Kenzie still looked ready to rip somebody's head off.

"Oh, yeah! That... would be nice..." Kenzie was ready to burst. Vic could feel it. She rushed off and returned with a plastic fork and a napkin from the cafeteria. Kenzie gratefully accepted it and first ripped the fork in half, then used the sharp halves to shred the napkin. "Ahhh, much better. Thank you."

Vic suddenly looked horrified. Her eyes were glazing over and turning red. "Uh oh!" Kenzie exclaimed, and with her Alpha Wolf mind powers suddenly took control. She barked out orders to every onlooker and people were running everywhere. As Vic switched to hunting mode, she blacked out.

"I'm so sorry, Vic," Kenzie cried, throwing down her blowgun and darts. "It was for your own good, though!"

She ran off to her room, tears running down her face as Vic was carried away.

"Well, that was interesting," said Victoria. It was the morning after Kenzie had knocked her out.

"I'm so sorry, Vic," exclaimed Kenzie. "But if I hadn't tranquilized you, you would've killed somebody!"

"Yeah, I know. I forgive you. Only- next time," she added.

"What? Next time what?"

"If you would let me finish, I would say next time, don't talk to me as long."

"Oh."

The awkward silence was interrupted by the bell. Everyone rushed to class.

"So, uh, will I see you tonight?" Kenzie asked, slightly embarrassed.
