Two years have passed since Marcel imprisoned Klaus for his own good, leaving Deena to restart a new journey in Italy with baggage that followed her there. Yet once they are soon reunited—granted by Marcel's permission should they stay out of the state of Louisiana—and her family are cured, she is not only closer in height but now the same age as her father before vampirism took his soul.
Although it's promised Marcel wasn't her enemy, Deena is hesitant for good reason to return to New Orleans and attend Tulane University where she's supposed to be. But ultimately, after a few nonnegotiable promises, returns.
Now back where she belongs as if she never left, life is seemingly normal...until some rich werewolf approaches Deena at the night of a Halloween party for some viles of her blood, willing to pay any price as long as he doesn't transition the next upcoming full moon.
What was a private arrangement for personal gain is only the beginning of an uprising of purist vampires, presenting living proof that Deena Salée is an abomination needing to be put down. Along with Hayley Marshall, Niklaus Mikaelson, Marcel Gerard, and any unnatural Crossbreeds spewing about.

And overall mature subjects for a marked mature book.
(There will be no warnings as always, but I implore you to read these newly added warnings carefully because this season is very heavy on the mental side especially through Deena's POV. )
