"It's hotter than Hade's balls out here," Rachel announced as she sat beneath a big oak tree. She felt Demetri's sticky, sweaty body pressed next to hers. She was itching for a shower and seconds away from pushing Demetri into the koi pond just to get him away from her. Although she was debating on jumping into the koi pond herself, she envied the fish. If there was a stronger word for envy, she would use it.

"All right, guys. Get out from under that tree. It's time to get to work." Rachel groaned and stood up, wiping sweat from her forehead.

"Hey, Mr. LaRusso, it's like 100 degrees out. Can't we take it easy today?" Robby asked, Rachel knew the answer would be no. Daniel didn't know how to take things easy.

"Are you kidding? This heat wave is a gift. Today, you are going to experience Shochu-Geiko." The group fell silent.

"Like the car insurance?" Chris asked, Rachel, rolled her eyes.

"No, dumbass, it's a Japanese exercise." Chris glared at her, but he didn't think much about what Rachel said to him. Some thought she hated them because of the asshole comments she made, but that's just how she was. She was sarcastic and blunt.

"Shochu-Geiko is a Japanese exercise where you train during the hottest days of the year. It's about pushing yourself to your limit. The fight isn't always gonna come when it's 75 degrees and breezy." Rachel was inches away from the koi pond, if Daniel didn't drag her away soon, she'd be making friends with the fish.

"Aren't we supposed to avoid fighting?" Sam asked, Daniel, wondered why any other time Sam didn't remember anything else he said until it was something that could blow up in his face.

"Sometimes you can't. Someday, the fight may come to you. And I wanna make sure you're ready. So, today, we're gonna see what Miyagi-Do is made of." Any other day, when it didn't feel like they were in the deepest depths of hell, they would've felt inspired by his speech. But today obviously wasn't that day.

"Uh, Daniel, before we start, I have one quick question." Daniel sighed.

"Yes, Rachel?" He replied, motioning for her to hurry up.

"Why is Robby shirtless?" The students around her laughed, but it was a legitimate question, he always ended up shirtless somehow.

"Because, now Robby, fighting position." Robby did as he was told, but Rachel sighed and put her hands to her sides. She knew what this method was, and you had to have quick reflexes and reactions. One boy went against Robby, he didn't land a hit, so Robby went back into his fighting position.

"Ten," Daniel announced, Rachel, perked up, quickly stepping forward and sweeping Robby's feet from beneath him. Rachel quickly realized while training with Robby that he was a strong fighter, he relied on his brute strength to win, but he wasn't a fast fighter. Rachel would say she was more of a fast fighter rather than a strong fighter, but she definitely was a bit of both.

"Come on. Demetri, get in there. Set. Three!" Chris ran at Demetri and punched him in the stomach.

"Ah!"

"Sorry, Meat. You gotta block that." He sighed, returning to his spot.

"Six!" Daniel announced, slight annoyance laced within his voice.

"Aw! I hate this." Demetri groaned after the guy had swept his feet from beneath him.

"All right, come on, get up!" Daniel shouted, visibly getting frustrated.

"Can we please take a break? This heat is brutal." Sam begged, Rachel could see a lightbulb go off inside of Daniel's head.

"You guys wanna cool off? All right. I think I can accommodate that."
