Sam chewed on her nails as she sat on the porch of the Miyagi Do dojo, her phone opened to her and Rachel's messages. She scrolled through them as if it would make her miraculously text her back despite the forty-plus messages she's sent over a week that received no answer.

Sam:Rach pls
Sam:I don't know how to get you to talk to me
Sam:I already said I was sorry!
Sam:please Rach!

Those were the last four texts she'd sent before today. She exited the messages app and then opened it again as if a text would appear from Rachel.

Sam:are you coming to practice? I gotta tell you something. It's really important.
Sam:usually you're one of the first people here, is everything okay?
Sam:Rach...everyone's here except dad, are you coming?

Sam was practically waiting till the last minute to call her. She knew that Rachel hated phone calls, and if she was asleep she'd hate waking up from a phone call even more. But, right now was the last minute, so, she pressed the call button.

"Hello?" Sam smiled, although it was obvious from the sound of Rachel's voice that she'd been asleep.

"Rach, are you coming to practice?" She heard Rachel sigh and shift in her bed.

"Nah, I don't really feel like it." Sam gulped.

"But...you have to, I-I have to tell you something." Sam heard Rachel groan, meanwhile, Rachel stood up and slipped on her leggings.

"I'll be there in a second." Then, Rachel hung up. She slipped on a dark blue athletic shirt, grabbed her bag, and slipped her phone into her pocket.

When she got to the dojo, everyone was in a small crowd in the backyard. She threw her bag down and walked to the group. She was still half asleep and not in the mood for karate. She wanted to sleep for days. Quite literally.

"What's going on?" She asked, her voice raspy from the lack of water she'd had this morning and the fact that she'd woken up about fifteen minutes ago.

"We found Mr. Miyagi's medal in the yard. It must've been here the entire time." Rachel remembered how bitchy she'd been to the Cobra's and how she accused them of stealing the medal. She'd have to apologize, even if she hated apologizing.

"Wow." She chuckled a bit, taking the medal into her hands.

"Rach?" Rachel looked up, Sam looked incredibly guilty, but Rachel couldn't think of anything she'd done wrong. At least nothing recently. Sam grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the side, as soon as she did, Rachel pulled her hand from the grip of Sam's hand. "Sorry, I forget sometimes." Sam chuckled a bit, but Rachel simply crossed her arms.

"What do you want?" She asked, Sam, sighed and looked at the ground as she toyed with her fingers.

"Me and Robby are sort of...together." Rachel gulped, she didn't like Sam anymore but it still sort of stung.

"I'm gonna go to the dealership so I can give this to Daniel, I don't feel like doing karate today anyways." Rachel turned around and walked out, walking down the sidewalk with her arms crossed. She liked walking, but she did it only because she didn't have a car. But, it allowed her to think a lot more than she would've if she drove a car.

She thought about Miguel, but she didn't want to, but it was so hard to push him out of her head. It was like someone stuck the idea of him in her head with gorilla glue. She hated it because a part of her felt like she was betraying Tory. She felt so bad about it, that she avoided Tory and Miguel entirely.

Finally, she reached the dealership and went inside. Most of the employees knew Rachel and didn't think much about her walking past them and straight to Daniel's office. When she went inside, she saw the long meeting table covered with breakfast foods that could feed a small state.
