Lan Xichen was trying to get away from the sea of journalists, cameramen and some aggressive, loud questions, randomly thrown at him. No one really paid attention to the D.A., and he got out of there and was now sulking in the shadows of the Court's corridors.
- Please... - he was smiling kindly. – Please, gentlemen... ladies... There is time... Haha, I am waiting for my colleagues, so – no comments for now! Thank you! Thank you...
He was looking around sheepishly, looking for Gao Xi and Du Shuangyu, but neither was anywhere to be found. He briefly calculated in his mind, and finally – pushing with some force, he managed to split the sea of curious people and get out of the stuffy hall.
- Well, damn.
He hurried to get out of the Court, fully aware that outside there were even more people, hungry for him, expecting him. He took a deep breath, ready to plunge in, too terribly starving by now to be smiling his forced smile any more, when he felt a gentle touch on his shoulder.
Gao Xi was super flushed and grinning.
- Boss... - he panted, he had been running. – So sorry, Boss!
- I am guessing it was an emergency? – Lan Xichen grinned knowingly.
The young man just nodded, grinning back, from ear to ear.
- Mazel tov! – Lan Huan mocked him. – Come on. Walk with me, keep up!
It turned out that a very nervous (a rare sight!) Du Shuangyu was already waiting for them outside, trying to hold back the tsunami of shrill voices, and bright camera flashes under the brighter mid-day sunshine.
- You're late! – he hissed at them, frowning at their smug grins.
- OK, babies! – Lan Huan spoke up enthusiastically, cracking his knuckles, ready. – Let's do this, and finally get BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER!!!

Jiang Cheng was subconsciously leaning in, almost falling out of the arm-chair, staring at the TV screen so intently that at one point he just got up and sat on the floor, closer, staring at Lan Huan's close-up shots.
- He is coming... He is coming home soon... Soon... To me... Soon... - he was whispering to himself.
Brent was bored already, it was over now, but he still was quite amazed at the connection his bosses had. It looked pathetic at times, overly exaggerated at times too, but he was starting to believe it. Some things just could not be faked.
