"Get up. There's no time to rest." As Gayle, an experienced white knight, looks below him, he sees nothing but flames. The wood holding himself up feels as if it's about to snap at any moment. Suddenly, a voice screams out, but to Gayle, nothing can be understood. Gayle's body feels as if It's broken completely. He tries to open his left eye, but it seems as if he has no control over it. He reaches to touch his eye but can only feel a warm fleshy feeling. As he pulls his hand back, he looks as it's covered in blood. The voice calls out again, "Help." Gayle struggles to pull himself up, especially with his massive set of silver and white armor given to him for being a hero for all these years. Gayle finally pulls himself up and looks all around himself. Below him is an actively burning slab of wood. Below that is a massive flame of where his tavern is falling apart. He walks back and crashes into the stone wall of the tower he stands on. The entire set of walls around him is completely destroyed, except the one he rests on. He notices his famed dragon slayer sword hanging from a ledge he was just leaning off of. That voice rings out once again. "Dammit Gayle, grab something, help me." Gayle looks over at the source of the noise and finds his friend Nest, fighting off what seems to be a large demonic looking knight. Gayle slowly reaches out and grabs his sword. It seems as if it's encrusted with red jewels, and the main material is gold, a dragon's body wraps around the base of the sword. Gayle looks back up at Nest and begins to shuffle over, picking up speed as he reaches closer. Nest seems to be dodging all the swings that the knight throws at him. Gayle begins to breathe in and out, picking up the speed as he reaches the demon knight. Gayle screams as he brings his sword above the knight's head. In one quick swoop, Gayle brings the sword into the knight's head. The knight becomes stunned for a moment as Nest pulls up his wand and slings what seems to be a ball of energy into the knight. Gayle brings his sword up, then follows in down, then up, and down. Black tar covers his face from every swing. Gayle still screams until after many swings, the demon knight drops to the ground.

Gayle takes one last deep breath and stumbles over to Nest. "Where are the others." Nest, covered with burns and scratches falls to the ground, "I....hopefully to end this. This nightmare that has befell...Ionsgate." Nest shivers with pain. "Don't worry, Gayle, we've done this hundreds of times. Even if it looks bad, we always make it out, right?" Nest then coughs up a ball of blood, painting his blue silver robes into a reddish color. Gayle leans down and pats his friend's shoulder. "We aren't done here yet. Let's go finish what we thought we finished." Suddenly, the tower that the two rest on begin to shake as a massive screech rings throughout the sky. "The hawk... you don't have time, find the others, reach the tree, don't let him win." Nest says as his breaths slow down. "No, not yet. we are not done here yet. It's just a scratch." Gayle says as he looks at a small wound on Nest's chest. A small puddle of blood begins to seep from behind Nest. Gayle reaches back and feels a massive hole in Nest's back. "To the DragonSlayer Covenant brother." These words ring out in Gayle's mind until Nest closes his eyes and his breathing stops. Gayle slowly stands up and turns around to witness the buildings of the massive city of Ionsgate burn down. Screams ring out all around the city. He looks forward to watch as the sky is a wicked purple color along with black clouds. The tree of life covers a lot of Ionsgate, but as the tree slowly burns away with a purple flame, the sky is much more noticeable now. Gayle begins to rush down the stone set of stairs but then feels a massive burst below him. The tower comes crumbling down below him. As the tower reaches closer and closer to the ground, Gayle begins hyping himself up as he tries to place his back against the wall. In a quick sprint, he then goes sprinting to the opposite side of the wall. He then shoulder bashes through the wall and lands in a roll. In front of him are two demon knights that look as if they are murdering a woman. As Gayle pulls himself up from the rolls, he tears his sword through one of the knights's armors. The other knight notices and turns towards Gayle as the tower crashes into the ground behind them. The knight drags his massive black sword into the air and brings it down. However, Gayle reaches his hand out, and a burst of white energy shoots from his palm. The sword goes flying out of the demon's hand.
