We were both woken up by Harry calling out our names.

"Hermione Y/N Hermione you two here?" Harry called out.

"Is everything all right?" Hermione said as she scrambled to put on my T-shirt in case they came in.

"It's fine. Actually, you know, it's more than fine," Harry said as we exit to see Ron with the sword of Gryffindor.

"Hey," Ron said with a smile.

"You complete ass, Ronald Weasley! You show up here after weeks, and you say is "hey"?" Hermione yelled Hitting Ron.

"Um Hermione," I said.

"Hushhh you. Where's my wand Where's my wand?" Hermione said pointing at me before looking at Harry.

"I don't know," Harry said as he backed away.

"Harry Potter, give me my wand," Hermione said stepping up to him.

"I don't have it," Harry lied.

"How come he's got your wand?" Ron said.

"Never mind why he's got my wand. What is that You destroyed it? And how is it that you just happen to have the sword of Gryffindor?" Hermione said only now realizing what Ron was holding.

"It's a long story," Ron and Harry said.

"Don't think this changes anything," Hermione said.

"Oh, of course not. I only just destroyed a bloody Horcrux Why would that change anything? Look, I wanted to come back as soon as I left. I just didn't know how to find you," Ron said.

"Yeah, how did you find us?" I asked.

"With this. It doesn't just turn off lights. I don't know how it works, but Christmas morning I was sleeping in this little pub, keeping away from some Snatchers, and I heard it," Ron said.

"It," I said questioningly.

"A voice... your voice, Hermione... coming out of it," Ron said.

"And what exactly did I say, may I ask?"

"My name. Just my name. Like a whisper. So I took it, clicked it, and this tiny ball of light appeared. And I knew. And sure enough, it floated toward me, the ball of light... went right to my chest, straight through me. Right here. And I knew it was gonna take me
where I needed to go, so I Disapparated... and came to this hillside. It was dark. I had no
idea where I was. I just hoped that one of you would show yourself. And you did," Ron said.

Hermione seemed to buy Ron's story and all seemed to be okay Hermione was most definitely still mad at Ron but I knew that it wouldn't last. Ron and Harry had gone inside to catch up, but Hermione was still not ready to be in the same room as him, so I took the first watch and joined them soon after.

"I've always liked these flames Hermione makes. How long do you reckon she'll stay mad at me?" Ron said.

"Well, just keep talking about that little ball of light touching your heart... and she'll come round," Harry said.

"Yeah just don't piss her off again or she might actually kill you next time," I said.

"Understood," Ron said.

"She on watch," Harry asked.

"Yeah also still feels bad about your wand," I said.

"Bloody hell, I just realized, you need a wand, don't you?" Ron said.

"Yeah," Harry said.

"I've got one here. It's a blackthorn. Ten inches. Nothing special, but I reckon it'll do. Took if off a Snatcher a couple of weeks ago. Don't tell Hermione this, but they're a bit dim, Snatchers. This one was definitely part troll, the smell of him," Ron said the last part making me chuckle.

"Engorgio. Reducio!" Harry yelled after shrinking the flame in the jar.

"What's going on in there?" Hermione called out.

"Nothing," We all said.

"We need to talk," Hermione said after coming in a few minutes later.

"Yeah, all right," Ron said.

"I want to go see Xenophilius Lovegood," Hermione said.

"Sorry?" Ron said.

"See this? It's a letter Dumbledore wrote to Grindelwald. Look at the signature," Hermione said showing us the letter.

"It's the mark again. It keeps cropping up. In Beedle the Bard, in the graveyard in Godric's Hollow," I said.

"It was there too," Harry said.

"Where?" I asked.

"Outside Gregorovitch's Wand Shop. But what does it mean?" Harry said.

"Look, you've got no idea where the next Horcrux is, and neither do I... but this, this means something. I'm sure of it," Hermione said.

"Yeah. Hermione's right," I said.

"We ought to see Lovegood. Let's vote on it. Those in favour?" Ron said raising his hand Hermione just glared at him before walking out.

"You're not still mad at him, are you?" I said following her.

"I'm always mad at him," Hermione said.

"Luna. Luna," Harry said knocking on the door of the house that looked as odd as those who lived there.

"Keep off the dirigible plums," I said reading a sign by the door.

"What is it? Who are you? What do you want?" Xenophilius said opening the door just a crack.

"Hello, Mr. Lovegood. I'm Harry Potter. We met a few months ago. Could we come in?" Harry said and we were let in.

"Where is Luna?" I asked as we sat in his main room.

"Luna? She'll be along. So how can I help you, Mr. Potter?" Xenophilius said.

"Well, actually... It was about something you were wearing round your neck at the wedding. A symbol," Harry said.

"You mean this?" Xenophilius said showing his pendant.

"Yes. That exactly," I said.

"What we've wondered is, what is it?" Hermione said.

"What is it? Well, it's the sign of the Deathly Hallows, of course," Xenophilius said as if it was obvious.

"The what?" We all said.

"The Deathly Hallows. I assume you're all familiar with The Tale of the Three Brothers," Xenophilius said.

"Yes," Ron, Hermione and I said.

"No," Harry said.

"It's an old kids story like a fairy tale," I said.

"I'll tell you," Hermione said.
