"You're late."

She had their little hangout spot on a random abandoned roof decorated with Christmas decorations and with some snacks and beverages. And of course, some gifts.

Hearing the clack of his suit shoes hitting the pavement only made her feign a disappointed sigh.

"I know- I'm sorry. It was a little tricky to get up here with this big bag." Settling it down once he drew near.

"You did great. It looks good."

She scratched her cheek, coughing as she glanced to the side. "Well..we're partners, aren't we? It only makes sense that I'd go a little out for Christmas."

He laughed. Sensing her embarrassment from miles away. Kneeling down as he unpacked her gifts, he could tell she didn't quite expect to get.

"Ah.. you didn't have to do that.." She said, squirming a bit in place.

"What did you say? We're partners, and it makes sense we go all out?"

Sailor Moon recoiled and swatted her hand at him. "You're so cheeky."

He laughed again!

"Anyways, sit." She said, gesturing to the cushions.

After doing what he was told, he opened a can of soda. How were these two not freezing? Who knows.

She had already started to munch on some candy, pushing his pile of presents towards him with her other hand.

Her eyes bore into his head before he then set down the soda. "Alright! What do you want me to open first?"

Seeing she pointed to a small box, he picked it up and started to unwrap it. His eyes widened as the paper was fully removed from the box.

"You've talked about that thing for a while, so I figured you must like it a lot." She did hear him speak about this particular Gundam while they patrolled the city for any action from the Negaverse. After all, they hadn't found any of the other Sailor Guardians yet.

"Moon...thank you." Their meeting gaze did hold quite the emotion.

"I-It's no problem! It's Christmas, after all, and you're one of my best friends."

Going through all his gifts, such a little nerd!

Now, it was Usagis turn as she hesitantly scanned over the stack of gifts. Where could she possibly begin?

So she picked up a small box.

It wasn't wrapped, but when she opened it, she had almost wished it had been.

She gasped, staring at the noon necklace. Her finger traced over it gently as if he would break under the pressure. "It's beautiful."

He was looking at her, leaned back with his palms on the blanket. "I know."

"Thank you!" She chirped and eventually dove throughout all of her gifts.

"Will you help me put it on?" She asked, holding the necklace out to him. As he sat up, he took it into his hands as she moved her hair out of the way.

Fastening it around her neck didn't take too long. After he finished, his hands lingered a little too long before they recoiled, and he reassured his position of being leaned back.

She moved her hair back into place, fidgeting with the pendant.

Moving so she is sitting beside him.

Leaning her head onto his shoulder. "Merry Christmas, Mask."

Tuxedo Mask glanced down at her, a small smile on his face.

"Merry Christmas, Moon."

Snow began to fall.

...

As he was on his way to school after the break, he stiffened seeing a familiar pendant hanging around Usagis neck as her cheeks flushed from the cold.

"So you're not going to tell me?" Naru asked, stepping in front of Usagi with hands on her hips.

"No! It's a secret."

Instinctively, her fingers covered the pendant as she stuck her tongue out. "Plus, he is off limits.

"Are you making a proclamation, Usagi?" Her friend asked, blinking as she noticed the softer look on her friends face.

"Mhm, he's mine. So I can't tell you."

And Mamoru walks straight smack into the telephone pole.
