{Chapter 16}

My eyes fluttered open when I was picked up bridal style. Niall smiled down at me.

"Hello, beautiful." He said. I smiled at him and closed my eyes. I nuzzled my face into his neck, feeling safe in his arms.

Harry pressed the elevator button and we rode up to the penthouse. When the doors opened, Niall carried me to my room and set me down in my bed. I didn't want him to leave.. I held my arms out in his direction as he was about to walk back out the door. "Come cuddle with me!" I said.

He smiled and closed the door, turning back around and climbing into the bed next to me. I wrapped an arm around him and laid my head on his chest. He wrapped an arm around me protectively. "Goodnight princess." He said, kissing the top of my head. I smiled. "Night Ni." I said before drifting off to a peaceful sleep.

*Niall's POV*

I woke up and saw Kate still asleep next to me. I smiled and tucked a stray curl behind her ear.

She's so beautiful. Even though it was slightly tangled, her hair was stunning. Her face looked so peaceful, lips so kissable. I looked away from her lips to avoid temptation. Her long eye lashes rested on her cheeks which were sprinkled lightly with those adorable freckles I've always loved.

Her eyes fluttered open. "Good morning beautiful." I said and she smiled at me. "Morning handsome." She said, giving me a peck on the lips.

Even though the kiss lasted less than a second, my lips tingled at her touch. "Do we have any plans today?" She asked with her sexy morning voice. Snap out of it Niall. She asked you a question. "Uh.. I dunno. I'll have to ask Liam." I said.

She nodded and stood up out of bed. She was still wearing her tank top and shorts from yesterday, and she looked amazing. The shirt was a bit see-through, showing off her flat stomach and teal bandeau. The denim shorts were slightly raised, showing more of her thighs than they normally would had she not slept in them.

"I'm going to shower." She said, walking around the bed to give me a kiss before walking into the bathroom. I heard the water turn on before I walked out of her room to go shower in mine.

"Ohhhh, so that's where you were last night." Louis said as I walked out of Kate's room. "Have fun?" He asked. I blushed as I realized what he was hinting at.

"It was nothing like that!" I protested. "Suuuure." Louis said. "Oh come on Louis he obviously didn't do anything with Kate." Harry said. "You know Niall, he's too innocent." He added. I wanted to smack him, but I decided it wasn't worth the energy to walk across the room.

I walked into my room and headed straight to the shower. After washing up, I stepped out and pulled on some jeans and a t-shirt. I fixed my hair in the mirror and then walked out of my room to get breakfast.

Kate must still be in her room because I don't smell bacon. Darn. I opened the fridge to find pretty much nothing. I grabbed the carton of milk and made myself a bowl of cereal while I waited for Kate to come out.

Liam walked in the door with two grocery bags. "BACON?" I asked. He nodded and set the bags on the counter. I punched the air and ran to Kate's room. I knocked and her cute voice told me to come in.

I opened the door and saw her standing in front of the mirror in sweatpants and a t-shirt putting makeup on. I walked over to her and watched as she put dark mascara on her already dark lashes. "Why do you wear makeup? You're already pretty." I asked her. She smiled at me. "Because, makeup makes me prettier." She said.

I caught her hand as she was putting some kind of powder on her cheeks. "No, nothing could make you prettier. Now stop covering up those freckles!" I said and she turned to look at me. "Look, I'll make you a deal. You go without makeup for today, and I'll do whatever you want for today." She seemed to consider it. "Fine. I'll enjoy this." She said, smirking. I kissed her cheek. "You're beautiful."
