     Looking back at the house one last time I ran into the woods away from my mate. That was close. When Ryder went to get the pizza I heard a commotion downstairs then bits of a conversation which included 'mate', 'upstairs', and a hell of a lot of squealing. I panicked and jumped out the window. Hiding behind some bushes I stayed quiet and listened to everything they said when I left. I felt sad, scared and excited. Sad because my mate was upset about me leaving. Scared because the alpha remembered my scent and excited about maybe one day being a part of this family. It might not happen but a guy can dream right?

     Walking slowly through the dark forest I enjoyed the sounds and smell of nature. The light breaze that blew through my hair was refreshing and looking up at the black sky with twinkling stars always made me feel free. Relaxed I made it to my home and climbed the boxes to my room.

     Smiling because of the nice time I had with my mate today I set my things down and turn around only to freeze. There standing in the middle of my room was a shadowy figure. It was big but that's all I could tell.
     "Stay away from my son." The shadow said in a demanding tone. I knew that voice from anywhere and was terrified that he found the need to come here.

     "I dont know what your talking about." I stated and took a step back tward the window ready to flea if I needed to. It suddenly felt way too small in my room.

     "Don't play dumb! I know your my son's mate and I'm telling you to stay away! I smelt your sent in his room. He doesn't need a pathetic weak mate like you." He said. The alpha walked forward and reached a hand out to me. Frightened I wirled around and jumped out the window. Hatred for him burned my body. It was because of him that my life was so awful. He was the reason I was homeless. He was the reason I was parentless. Its all his fault.

     "You can't keep us apart! We are ment for each other." I yelled spinning around to see him land close to me. I felt so strongly about him denying me my mate that I wanted to prove that he is mine and always will be. Moving fast he had my neck wrapped in his hand as he lifted me off the floor effectively cutting off my air. With wide eyes I glared at him with anger burning in my eyes. How dare he try to keep my mate away from me!

     "If you won't stay away then I will have to make it so he never sees you again." He said with a sinister smile on his face. Clawing at his arms the need to breath was quickly becoming overwhelming. Bringing up my legs I kicked off his stomach causing him to drop me and land on his back.

     Gasping for air I pushed off the ground only to see the alpha shift into his dark brown wolf and lung at me. Landing on the floor with a 'umph' he tried to bite my face. Shifting into a white lepard I dug my claws into his lower stomach and felt as his blood dripped onto my white fur staining it with red. He growled and bit my shoulder making me hiss in pain and push my claws deeper into his fur and skin.

     With a whine he jumped back to growl at me again. He pinned his ears back and barred his canines at me. Growling at him I was about to lung when I notice three wolf's gathering around me from inside the forest. The cheater called for back up! Hissing in displeasure I ran tward one of the new comers and leaped over his form. Landing behind him a jolt of pain passed through my body and I collapsed to the floor. I heard a chorus of growls around me ignored the pain as much as possible and pushed myself up to start running again. I could take down the alpha easily if he didn't always call for help.

     Looking back I didn't see them following me but then I saw a blur of grey pass me. Landing the wolf lunged for my throat but I swiped my paw at his face. I smirked in my head as I saw the marks my claws left on his face. Oh the alpha will have my head this time. Sprinting away from him I ran to a water fall I found a while ago and dived into the water to hide my sent from them. The water around me turned red with the blood from my wound and it stung from me swimming across the water.

     Climbing up the side of the falls as fast as possible I looked down at the wolves sniffing around trying to find me. Panting I limp into a nearby cave and curl up into a ball of white fluff. Getting comfortable I licked around the bite trying to clean it a little while I thought of what to do next. I couldn't go back to my makeshift home or the alpha would catch me. If I went into town at all they would catch me. That meant no school and no free food but worst of all that meant I couldn't see my mate without the danger of being killed.

     The only choice I had was to live in the wild for now. If I go to another land the alpha from there will sent me back here as a runaway pack member.

     Do you know how to catch food? I asked my animal.

     Of course! That's very offensive to me. He scorfed at me.

     Sorry I didn't know. We can go tomorrow for a hunt but now im tired.

     Fine but after I want to check on mate. Linux told me.

     Why? I asked

     I have a feeling something is going to happen.

     Oh. After we rest and eat we can check on him then but only from far away. I said and fell asleep in the dark cold cave before he had the chance to complain. In the back of my head I had the need to be with my mate, to have him here with me.

AN: what's gonna happen next? (°-°( I'm out of school in two days! :D
