I don't want anything I say to be taken as fact on Russian. I am using google as a translator so none of this should be taken as fact. If anyone knows Russian I would love the help on this.
Kathrine was in awe of the man in front of her, he wasn't like any of the men that frequented the pub and not like Thomas in anyway. "How are you feeling?" Rosie was already married to Braith; he had made sure that she was his. Kathrine was wearing her best dress and her bear cloak that had claws as the clasp. "I think so. I know I will be safe and free from my so-called family." Rosie smiled and kissed her sister's cheek. "I love you sister. We are free of any man that wants to try and harm us." Kathrine went over to Bracken and the priest. With the wedding over and Kathrine now being Bracken Medved's wife she smiled because she was free of her uncle. Bracken held her close to him and placed a kiss to the top of her head. Rosie and Braith were going back to the town as Bracken and Kathrine were going to his home. "Goodbye sister." "Goodbye my sister." Both girls hugged for the last time as they were placed on their husband's horses and led away to their future. "I know you must be wondering what your life will look like now." Kathrine looked down to her husband as he spoke. Bracken had been leading his horse and bride to their home. "I live on a small farm. I have some chickens, a goat, and the mother of ioshad." Bracken's voice was so comforting she could listen to him talk for hours. "Ioshad?" Bracken smiled at his wife, and she smiled at him and then shivered due to the cold. "My horse, I have his mother at home, she would be the perfect mare for you." Bracken took off the fur he had on and placed on Kathrine's small shoulders. "I have never really cared for chickens before; I was hoping you could show me how." Kathrine didn't want to make her husband mad at her. "I will show you how to take care of everything on the farm." When they arrived, it was getting dark, and Kathrine was so tired. She was surprised by the house; it was two stories, and the front was well taken care of. "My home, well our home now." Bracken smiled and carried Kathrine inside and placed her on a couch and started a fire. The inside was huge and there were carvings on the tables and the pillars and beams, the house had plenty of carvings of bears and wolves and dragons. "Who carved all of this?" Kathrine was in awe of the whole house, and she hadn't even realized she asked the question out loud. "I did all the carvings. Except for this one." He held out his knife and pointed at the hilt. "My father made the handle for me when I went on my first hunt with him. The bear is the symbol of my family." He pulled off his furs and his knifes. Kathrine felt fear in her as she had no idea what to expect that night. "I won't do anything your not comfortable with. I was hoping you would share my bed tonight. You will determine what we do and you choose what we do. I won't push you." Kathrine calmed and let Bracken help her out of the furs she was wearing, and he helped her out of her shoes. "I need to change." Bracken led her to their room. "I have some shirts you could wear to bed if you have nothing else." Bracken showed her and then turned to leave. "I need help with my ribs." Bracken looked shocked. "What happened to your ribs?" Kathrine turned away and just let the bandages around her middle show. "Let me help moi pitomets." (My pet.) Bracken helped her with everything and winced at the color of her ribs. "No one should have done this to you. I will never do this to you ever." Bracken wrapped Kathrine's ribs and helped her into one of his shirts. He held out a small flask. "Drink, this will help with the pain, it will make it easier to sleep." Kathrine took a small sip and then gagged on the taste. "I know it's not the best taste in the world, but it helps." Kathrine smiled her thanks at him before he helped her lay down. "In the morning I will teach you how to get along with the animals, if we don't get snowed in." Kathrine nodded and then snuggled into his warmth and slept with her head on his chest over his heart. The steady beat of his heart and the warmth of his arms lulled her to a peaceful sleep. Bracken held her close but gentle, careful of her injuries. "I will prove myself worthy of you my sweet mate." He kissed her lightly before he drifted to sleep with his mate safe in his arms.
