Golden Sunrise

HOW IT STARTED AND ENDED

"Happy 4th anniversary, love!" Adriano said in a happy tone as he took off the blinfold from my eyes.

I was really happy and surprised. He always do this. He loves throwing surprises. It feels like it was our first anniversary. Parang kailan lang we celebrated our first anniversary and now we are celebrating our 4th year of being in love.

My pictures together with Adriano were posted at the center of the decoration. And what made me more happy was that the words "Until my last breath, my Guia" were written above our happy and well developed pictures from the printing shop.

I averted my gaze to my mom who was walking near to me and Adriano. "Stay strong you two." She said. She hugged me and then gave me a kiss on my cheeks. Same with my dad. Na nasa likod lang siya ni mommy he went to me. He hugged me and kissed just like my mom did. "Stay strong Guia and Adriano." Daddy said and pat Adriano's  left shoulder.

Adriano thanked my parents after.

My parents were back to their spot a while ago. Happily watching us. They were very supportive to me since the day I started my relationship with Adriano.

While eating the foods that Adriano and my parents prepared for this celebration. I could not help myself but reminisce those memories we had before.

I've known Adriano  for almost 11 years. I first met him during our first day of class back when we were just a high school.  We became friends. Then we started our relationship when we were first year in college.

We were always there for each other. We were like a magnet.

We were  done  celebrating, we decided to go inside since the temperature of the garden outside, to where we exactly celebrated our anniversary was getting colder and colder as the night went on.

That night after the celebration. Something strange happened. I don't know what was really happening but I just saw Adriano rushingly went outside the house the moment he answered the call on his phone.

I was waiting there, quietly sitting at one of the couch in our living room, from where I and Adriano were seated and talking about some random things not until his phone rang.

Adriano went back inside and he apologized to me because he was there outside for almost 10 minutes. I just smiled at him and said t'was fine.

He bid good bye since it was almost 11 in the evening. Medyo may kalayuan pa 'yung bahay nila dito sa amin, he's living at the town next to the city that I am living in.

I decided to went upstairs and sleep na dahil  napagod talaga ako kanina galing sa school.

2 months after the anniversary it was almost graduation. And as usual susunduin ako ni Adriano after ng klase naming dalawa. Good thing at medyo hindi ganon ka layo ang naging schedules namin sa 2nd semester kaya palagi kaming magkasabay pauwi.

When we arrived at my parents house something strange happened again. May tumawag na naman kay Adriano. At first he was hesitating to answer the call, I can see it through his facial expression. We were still inside his car that moment, nagpaalam sa'kin na mauna siyang lalabas and I didn't wait for him to open the passenger door since I saw that he was on an important call. So I decided to go out by myself at hindi ko sinirado ng maayos 'yung pintuan ng passenger seat, I went out silently trying not  make some noise.

My instinct was telling me to do that and I don't know why. My heart was beating so fast as I silently walked near to Adriano.

"Bye baby. Be good to your mommy because daddy will not gonna buy you  a toy anymore if  you won't listen to your mom." I heard it coming from Adriano's mouth. He didn't really notice my presence since I was standing at his back.  While hearing those my heart changed the way it beat last minute ago and now it's beating so slow. Na para bang may nakadagan sa buong katawan ko.
