Y/n POV

I was currently battling the Sinnoh League champion, Cynthia. Me and her had met throughout my journey and now that I had defeated the elite four I was finally battling her. My best friend and traveling companion Cheryl was also there sitting on the sidelines cheering me on. I had first met her after I defeated Mars and I needed to go through Eterna Forest in order to make it to Eterna Town.
Since I helped her get through and she wanted more experience as a trainer she started traveling with me.

Since then we have become close friends always there supporting each other's goals. But then there's now I was finally about to achieve my dream of becoming Sinnoh's champion. I had taken out five of her Pokémon and it was just down to her
Roserade and my Infernape.

Y/n: Infernape! Use Flare Blitz!

Infernape then cloaks itself in fire and slams into Roserade causing Roserade to be thrown into a wall. After Infernape takes the recoil damage Roserade faints and Cynthia loses her last useable Pokémon.

Cynthia: Congratulations Y/n! You're the new Sinnoh champion!

She returns her Roserade to its Pokeball.

Y/n: Yeah, good job Infernape!

I say while patting Infernape's shoulder as he smirks. I then return Infernape to its Pokéball as Cheryl runs over to hug me.

Cheryl: Congratulations (Y/N)!

She says as I return the hug.

Y/n: Heh, thanks.

She frees me from the hug as Cynthia speaks up.

Cynthia: That was excellent. Truly, an outstanding battle. You gave the support your Pokémon needed to maximize their power. And you guided them with certainty to secure victory. Together, you and your Pokémon can overcome any challenge that may come your way. Those are the impressions I got from our battle. I'm glad I got to take part in the crowning of Sinnoh's newest champion! Come with me. We'll take the lift.

The former champion says as she motions me to step onto a platform that was behind her.

Me, Cynthia, and Cheryl step onto the platform as we're taken to another floor as we walk into another room. Inside the room are some statues of past Sinnoh champions along with what seemed like a Pokécenter healing machine connected to a big screen on the front wall.

Cynthia: Y/n, welcome to the Hall of Fame.

I step to the front of the machine.

Cynthia: Your name will be recorded for posterity here. What you are leaving are the memories of the adventure so far. It's time to record your names.
You and your Pokémon. This machine will make a permanent record of your achievement.

I begin to place my Pokéballs inside the machine. I was just about to put the last one in before I stopped and looked at Cheryl.

Y/n: Hey, Cheryl. Thanks for everything.

Cheryl smiles brightly.

Cheryl: You're welcome, Y/n.

She says I place the last Pokeball in as the machine makes a permanent record of me and my Pokémon. After the machine finishes I take my Pokeballs out as me and Cheryl leave the room.

Y/n: Wow! I can't believe I became the Sinnoh champion.

The green haired lady giggles.

Cheryl: So, what will you do after this?

Y/n: Well, Barry keeps yapping about this thing called the Battle Zone so I guess I could check that out.

I say as Cheryl smiles.

Cheryl: Well, whatever it's gonna be I'm gonna continue traveling with you.

Cheryl says as I also smile.

Y/n: That's great.

Cheryl suddenly grabs my hand and stops as I then turn to face her.

Cheryl. Can I tell you something Y/n?

I nod.

Cheryl: Since we first met in Eterna Forest we've been friends. And since we've traveled across the region not only has your Pokémon become stronger but my feelings for you.

I blush slightly.

Y/n: What are you saying?

Cheryl then suddenly cups my face in her hands as she then leaned in and kissed me. For a bit of time, I stood there frozen as I then melted into the kiss as I wrapped my hands around her waist. After a bit of time, we both pull back for air.

Cheryl: I love you (Y/N). My love for you is eternal.

I smile.

Y/n: I love you too Cheryl.

I kiss Cheryl's cheek as we both leave the Pokémon League hand in hand.

Later on, I continued traveling to other regions and Cheryl would always be there being loving and supportive. Our love was truly going to be eternal.
