Mornings were never pleasant, so whenever Aubrey wakes up, he takes the time to bury his face in his hand and groan in displeasure at the bright sunlight entering his window. Waking up had never been fun nor was the feeling of the cold air hitting him whenever he got out of bed or when his bare feet touch the marble floor.

The whole experience was unpleasant and it is a miracle that he didn't bump into anything on his way to wash up his face. A stifled laugh was heard when he did bump into something, and he let out a frustrated sound at that ignoring the laugh.

"Good morning, pillow-hugger."

"Ugh, shut up."

It's safe to say that Aubrey was never in the best of moods in the morning. Especially not when someone speaks to him during the first moments of waking up. His brain is all fuzzy and he's just the type to be easily irritable during the first few moments. He really hated waking up and pushed his bathroom's door a bit too clumsily.

Aubrey was the embodiment of elegance when he faced his sink scratching his stomach while yawning and his hair was a mess sticking up on one side as he half-heartedly patted it down. It was only when he felt awake enough for his brain to function did his eyes slowly widen.

He almost tripped when he got to the door, and he pulled it open to make sure of what just happened. Aubrey was just so used to Sammy being there occasionally in the morning, he really didn't notice anything was off until now.

"How the hell did you get in here?" He blinked in surprise wondering if he was seeing things, but Kellen was in his room lounging lazily as he read the diary Aubrey had stolen. That's when another thing occurred to him. "How did you even know where my room is?"

"Dead people." Kellen shrugged, not taking his eyes off of the diary.

In all honesty he didn't know why he even asked when the answer was so obvious. The correct response to anything that Kellen does is to just accept it and go with the flow, and that's what Aubrey decided to do when stared blankly at the floor.

His deepest darkest secrets are known now, Kellen saw the pillow-hugging and morning attitude – frankly his morning attitude is his usual attitude around Kellen, so he wasn't too worried about that.

Therefore he decided to accept that, too, and sat down there beside him with a sigh.

Aubrey doubted that Kellen would go through the trouble to break into his home – yes, Aubrey considers it breaking in because it is – for just a diary. There has to be something more. "Are you taking me on another date?"

Kellen smiled up at him. "Were you hoping for one?"

"Oh, yes. I can't wait to be taken somewhere miserable and creepy." Aubrey answered him sarcastically despite finding them all to be interesting.

"I was going to suggest a place, but since you don't seem excited, well..." When Kellen lowered the diary and got closer, Aubrey suspected where this conversation was going and he scooted away nervously about to stop Kellen from continuing, but unfortunately wasn't quick enough. "Your rich snobby self always complained about hard surfaces."

"You're a rich snob yourself." Aubrey hissed, his face red knowing what was being implied. "Why is everyone breaking into my room? Seriously."

"Place wards around if you have a problem with that." Kellen told him not really too worried about the possibility of that actually happening as he distractedly messed up Aubrey's hair even more. The diary was forgotten.

"Have my doubts about that actually working on you."

Kellen nodded his head confirming that wards wouldn't actually work, but not because of their lack of effect, but because of his tendency to find his way around them the way he did with the wards Vincent had placed. "Don't worry, I won't make it a habit. I am here because I am curious about something."
