Hyun-woo was tapping his pen on his desk, pausing from drawing on his hand as he was doing moments before. He looked up and froze as he saw Su-hyeok, his sister, his sister's friend - I-sak - and their teacher running down the hallway. Their teacher was trailing behind them, and that was when he noticed the bloodied girl on his boyfriend's back.
"I'm going to the bathroom," Hyun-woo didn't wait for his teacher's response as he rushed out the classroom, his pen still in his hand.
"Please help," Their teacher burst into the nurse's office, her students and Hyun-woo close behind. On-jo was the only one to notice her brother, holding onto his arm as they followed Su-hyeok, who laid the girl on the bed.
"Who's that? What happened?" Hyun-woo worried as he watched the girl on the bed, glancing at his twin. "Are you okay?"
She nodded, frozen as she watched the girl and the nurse take her temperature.
"Her temperature is way too low," The nurse said and Hyun-woo rubbed his sister's arm gently, trying to keep her calm. She pulled the blanket over the girl. "Here, hold it down so she doesn't kick it off."
The girl on the bed growled and thrashed around. Hyun-woo rushed forward, holding On-jo out of the way as he held part of the blanket down.
"Hold her. Hold her," Su-hyeok looked up to meet Hyun-woo's worried eyes.
"Hyeon-ju, Hyeon-ju, it's okay," Their teacher tried to calm the student down.
"Call an ambulance right now," The nurse instructed, "I'll give her a sedative and clean her wounds."
The nurse rushed off as Sun-hwa grabbed her phone with one hand.
Hyeon-ju calmed slightly, her bloodshot eyes flicking around. Hyun-woo looked at everyone that was holding the blanket down, including his sister next to him.
"Are you alright?" Hyun-woo whispered as his eyes scanned his boyfriends body. Su-hyeok nodded.
"To hot," Hyeon-ju's groan cut the two out of their silent conversation.
"Hang in there, Hyeon-ju," Sun-hwa said. "Your temperature is a little two low."
"Too hot. I'm too hot."
"You're going to the hospital. We're all here for you, so don't worry, okay?"
"What happened?" Hyun-woo whispered to On-jo.
"The science teacher gave me a weird shot," Hyeon-ju murmered, interrupting what On-jo was about to say.
"A shot?" The teacher slightly leaned forward. "Mr Lee Byeong-chan gave you a weird shot?"
"He was my favourite teacher," Hyun-woo mumbled to himself.
"He tried to kill me." He tightened his grip on the blanket.
"Hey, Hyeon-ju, tell me what shot?"
Her voice was raspy and breathy as she strained against the blanket. "I'm going to kill them all."
She growled, pressing toward On-jo, trying to bite her. On-jo stumbled back and Hyun-woo grabbed her arm, pulling her away from the girl with wide eyes.
"Hey, are you okay?" Sun-hwa looked at On-jo for a moment before turning back to the thrashing girl.
Hyun-woo moved away, holding On-jo's wrist, watching as the nurse approached Hyeon-ju with a needle in hand.
On-jo looked at her brother for a moment before going back to hold the blanket down as Hyeon-ju calmed again. Hyun-woo watched over his twin's shoulder, his eyebrows furrowed.
I-Sak pulled away, rubbing her hand. Sun-hwa looked at her hand worriedly.
"Are you okay?" The teacher asked. I-Sak nodded.
"I think it'll be best if you want back to class." I-Sak nodded as she left.
"You should go with her," Hyun-woo told his sister. On-jo glanced at Su-hyeok before looking back at her twin and shook her head. The older twin sighed.
"She smells like the science teacher," Hyun-woo mumbled as they heard people rushing up the stairs, probably the ambulance. "What's the word?"
"A rotting corpse," On-jo provided quietly as they saw their father.
# GOD, IT'S BRUTAL OUT HERE
Hyun-woo kept an arm wrapped around On-jo's shoulders as Hyeon-ju's stretcher got pulled into the back of the ambulance.
"Are you okay?" Their father worried as he wrapped a bandage around On-jo's arm. "Look at me. Were you scared?"
"Definately," On-jo nodded. Their father sighed, looking back at the ambulance.
"What's wrong with her?" He looked between the twins.
"I don't know," They said at the same time.
"I'll tell you later when we get home," On-jo continued.
"I'm on calls, so I won't be home," He looked at Hyun-woo, who understood what he meant when the two met eyes. He nodded slightly. Their father patted the bandage. "Just try not to get it wet. Call me right away if you need anything at all. I'll rush right over. Okay?"
The two nodded as he started to walk away, the twins following. "Bye dad."
"Bye." He bowed at the teacher and nurse before looking back at his son and daughter. "Thank you and take good care of them for me please. Given the situation, I can't stick around."
"Okay," Sun-hwa nodded.
Hyun-woo watched the ambulance leave as he pulled his sleeves over his hands. He bit the inside of his cheek as he felt Su-hyeok's presence close behind him.
Sun-hwa turned to the three students once the ambulance turned out of sight. "Thank you for your help, guys. I'm going to head back in a few minutes... Please make sure you don't yell anyone about this just yet, okay?"
They all nodded in agreement. The teacher nodded before turning to talk to the nurse for a moment.
"Are you okay?" Su-hyeok whispered into his boyfriend's ear. The shorter nodded discreetly.
Sun-hwa turned back to the three. "Go back to class. I'll explain it to your teacher." She looked at Hyun-woo before grabbing On-jo's wrist and guiding them back inside. "Let's go."
"Bye," Hyun-woo waved bye as he started down the hallway to his classroom. "I'll meet you here at lunch, Su-hyeok? Make sure On-jo doesn't get killed while I'm not there." He grinned teasingly at his twin, who just huffed.
His boyfriend nodded, smiling softly as he paused, watching Sun-hwa walk down the hallway and Hyun-woo following her like a duckling.
