Worlds Collide

Chapter 10

Hope's POV:

Eve giggles cutely as I lift her up and skate carefully in a circle. She holds out her arms and smiles up at the sky with her eyes closed.

"Baby!" She squeals out laughing when I pretended to drop her but I would never do that. I carefully lower her down so she can stand on her own skates but I don't release her waist.

"I'm sorry, Mon Chéri. You know I would never drop you," I softly tell her with a chuckle and she shakes her head smiling at me.

    She wraps her arms around me and leans her forehead against mine. "I know," loud laughter caught our attention and we see kids along with grownups playing in the snow or making snow angels.

"Come on, Wolfie. Let's go make snow angels!" Eve excitedly says pulling away from me and dragging me towards the end of the rink by my hand.

I chuckle and pick up my pace to keep up with my excited mate. "Wait, how are we- shit!" I exclaim as she makes us dive into a snow pile just at the end of rink.

   Eve begins laughing happily and I playfully growl then toss some snow at her making my mate gasp with a wide smile.

I bust out laughing at the action. She swats my chest gently as I still laugh. I can't help it that it was funny.

"Come on. Let's make snow angels," she happily says spreading out her limbs while I scoot over a bit so I can do the same.

   I move my limbs to make my snow angel and turn my head to stare at the pure joy in my mate's face. It is the most beautiful sight in the world.

Eve looks towards me with that beautiful smile of her's. "What?" She asks with a giggle and I shake my head slightly.

"You're so beautiful, Mon Chéri," I respond softly and her usually pale cheeks darken with a blush that makes me smile softly.

  "You should look in the mirror, Wolfie," she retorts winking making me chuckle then got up on my knees and helped her so we can look at our masterpieces.

  They look good. "They're perfect but they're missing two things," Eve comments and picks up a stick from the side before writing our names under the ones we did.

   I chuckle softly at that. She tosses the stick to the side before moving back into me and I wrap my arms around her.

"Now they look perfect," she states and I hum softly in agreement as I lay my chin on her shoulder to look.

"I love it. And I love you," I breathe out softly and plant a loving kiss on her cheek before we lean our heads together.

"I love you too, Wolfie," she responds just as lovingly and snuggles more into my embrace. Suddenly we get attacked with snow making the two of us break apart quickly.

"Haha you should've seen your faces!" Johnny exclaims laughing as he holds onto his stomach. Eve and I playfully roll our eyes before flipping him off at the same time.

"Just you wait, Johnny. We're gonna get you back," Eve warns him and he puffs out his chest with a smug look.

"Uh huh, I'm not scared," he retorts smugly making Eve give me a look and I nod. I quickly make a snow ball and launch it softly for a human.
