she wants your attention

Nancy watched as you scrolled through social media beside her in bed and she couldn't help the sigh that left her lips.

She was a little frustrated that you're paying so much attention to your phone when you're supposed to be watching a movie together.

It usually isn't a big deal to her if you want to spend time on your phone or on social media, she enjoys it sometimes too.

But it's the first night that she's had off in a couple of busy weeks and she wanted nothing more than to relax with you in her arms all night as you watch some films and share kisses.

It's not as though you just got on your phone a minute or two ago but it's been at least fifteen minutes and all she wants is for you to set it down so you can give her some attention instead.

"Y/N? Are you even watching this?"

You didn't even say yes or no in response to her question.

You just hummed and Nancy had the feeling that her question had gone in one ear and out the other.

"Baby," She whined. "Put your phone down. Please?"

She pouted at you but you didn't notice as you were too busy giggling over the funny video of a cute cat that appeared in your Explore feed.

She groaned and reached for the remote to pause the movie.

"Y/N," She whined as she tapped your shoulder.

And when that didn't do anything more than just make a smile pull at your lips, she continued.

"Y/N, Y/N, Y/N, Y/N," She repeatedly said as she continued to tap your arm.

"What, Nancy, baby?" You laughed as you turned your head to look at her.

"Pay attention to me!" She buried her face in your neck and you laughed again as you rubbed her back with your free hand. "This is supposed to be our night together and you're stuck on your stupid phone."

"I'm sorry, baby." You said before locking your phone and setting it down on the nightstand.

She instantly lifted her head to stare at you and her smile was big and bright.

"Better?"

"Yes!" She said before laying back down beside you. "I was about to pull it out of your hands and toss it across the room." She joked.

"And if it broke, you would've been buying me a new phone." You teased as you snuggled up to her.

"Yeah but tomorrow, not tonight." She said as you raised your eyebrows at her. "This is my night with my girl and nothing is getting in the way of it."

You smiled before kissing her lips lovingly.

"Okay, Nancy. I'm all yours."

"Good." She happily said as she held you tighter. "That's all I want; just some quality time with my girl. Nothing else in the world matters to me."
