When We See the Sun Again

Chapter 2

Emmy was bouncy. She wasn't sure why though. While operating the lift  down the mountain she just got giddy at the thought of seeing all her friends in one place for something fun. They hadn't done something like this is at least a year. She just got even more excited when she saw Sage and Charles. When she opened the door to the lift she abandoned Ashlynn at the controls and hugged Sage and Charles.

"It has been so long since I've seen you guys!" Emmy said excitedly

"Calm down Emmy!" Said Sage while laughing "you literally saw us on Friday"

"But Friday was School." Emmy said in reply "School isn't a fun bonding activity like going up into the mountains and having a Nice peaceful weekend with your friends"

"At least we hope it will be peaceful" said Charles

" oh calm down" said Ashlynn " it won't be like last time"

Ashlynn was an interesting person with her black and Navy Blue galaxy hair. She was Emmy's best friend. But Ash had a lot of interesting quirks. And nobody knew the whole story of Ashlynn.

" OK guys" said Emmy trying to lighten things up "stop being such a downer, we are here to have fun this weekend and if any talk like that happens around Brianna she might become even more distant" Sage turned on the spot

"Brianna actually came?" She said

"Apparently so" said Ashlynn " trust me I'm just as surprised as you, Jay wanted to come get you guys too but thought it would be a bad idea to leave Brianna alone but get this Brianna actually talks now so long as the subject doesn't make her uncomfortable" Emmy nodded enthusiastically. She herself had been surprised at Bri's new mood and enthusiastically talked with Brianna whenever she felt like talking.

"This is great news!" Said Sage "I missed talking to Brianna" Emmy knew the exact reason why. Before the accident Brianna and Sage had always been close friends and Sage had been devastated when Brianna wasn't able to talk or come to school anymore. Hearing the Happiness in Sage's voice made Emmy just want to explode in happiness. She was happy to see all her friends in one place laughing and talking.

" anyways I thought you would like to know that we arrived about 5 minutes ago" said Ashlynn

" why didn't you say anything!" Emmy said while practically jumping for joy " I haven't been this excited since Jay invited us back up here!"

"Guys I think we should go in before Emmy explodes" said Charles and with that they stepped out of the lift and opened the front door to the cabin where it all began
