Chapter 1: Genin?! Seriously?!

Sup. Sorry for the long wait, but here it is! Chapter 1 should clear some things up about Kira. Hopefully, it's not as bad as I think it is. Enjoy!

~Kira's POV~

As Kakashi and I jump through the treetops, I wonder where he's taking me. He had told me he had to take me somewhere to improve my ninja skills, but he didn't tell me where. Suddenly, he comes to a stop.

"We're here." he announced.

I look past him to see a building. "Where are we exactly?"

"Konoha Village's top ninja program."

"Oh, yeah. That explains everything. And by everything, I mean nothing."

"Lord Hokage said that he wanted you to hone your ninja abilities. He also said he wanted you to enter the program." my father explained.

"That makes no sense. I've trained under you. The Kakashi Hatake. That's probably more than these wannabes have ever done."

"Kira, don't doubt the abilities of others. Now, go inside. Iruka will be disappointed that your late." Kakashi scolded, making me roll my eyes.

"Dad, this is the Hatakes we're talking about. We're known for our tardiness." I reminded. Kakashi chuckles.

"Just go."

"I don't want too though." Kakashi shrugs and jumps away. I stand and wait for him to turn back. To take me away from this place. But, after a while, I realize he's not coming back. I sigh and walk inside the building.

As I open the door to the classroom, I see Iruka yelling at some blonde kid tied in ropes.

What the heck did I walk in on?

When the doors creaked, Iruka turned around to see me standing there. He smiled. "Kira. Come introduce yourself to the rest of the class." I reluctantly walk to the front of the class.

"Sup, I'm Kira Hatake." Iruka sweatdropped.

"Is that all you want to say?" I nodded. "You really are just like your father." I saw a bunch of guys staring at me, but I honestly didn't know why.

"Iruka, who is that and what did he do?" I asked, pointing at the roped orange. Iruka frowns.

"That is Naruto Uzumaki and he painted all over Hokage Mountain."

"Really? That's so cool!" I said, making my way towards this 'Naruto' and untie him. He looked at me as if I'm crazy.

"Why'd you untie me?"

"Because, if my dad found out I painted on Hokage Mountain, I'd be dead! And then you go and actually do it! That sounds totally awesome!" I exclaimed. Iruka sweatdropped again.

"Alright, does anyone have a question for Kira?" About half the class's hands went up. Again, Iruka sweatdropped. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately. "Alright Kira, you can pick. And Naruto, go back to your seat!" Said blonde scurried away. I called on a boy with a dog first.

"You, Dog Boy." I heard a few kids snicker.

"It's Kiba. So, Cutie, are you single?" he asked. I saw a few kids glare at him while some actually looked like they wanted to know too.

"Yep. Single as a pringle." I saw a few kids perk up. "But, I have very... exclusive taste. Next... you, girl with the pretty purple eyes. Said girl blushed.

"H-Hinata. S-So, why d-did you d-decide t-to j-join t-the ninja program?" she asked shyly.

"Well, I didn't really decide. You see, it was more against my will and better judgement but, ya know, Hokage's orders. Now... how about you? The one who looks like an emo duck?" He frowned.

"Sasuke. So, who is your father? And why did the Hokage order you to join the program?"

"Tsk. Well Emo Duck, that's two questions. But, since you asked so nicely, I'll answer them both. My dad is Kakashi Hatake, though I don't really expect you to know him. And the Hokage ordered me here because he wanted me to 'associate with more people my age'. You see, being a Hatake and all, I have lots of training, so I often work with Anbu and, honestly, I have the skill of a Jounin. But Hokage's in charge so what can I do?" I shrug after my extended explanation that they didn't really need.

"Right. Well, Kira you can either sit next to Sasuke or Naruto." Iruka tells me. I immediately make my way over to Naruto and plop down into the seat. He stares at me with wide eyes.

"Wha--! Why didn't you sit next to Sasuke?" he questioned through his shock.

"Well, you looked fun, and Emo Duck over there looks depressed, so I decided to sit here. Also, painting Hokage Mountain? How fun was it?" He grins.

"It was awesome, believe it! They were chasing me all over! But they couldn't catch me! Except Iruka. He's really fast and--" Naruto was interrupted by Iruka slamming his hands on the desk.

"Naruto! Stop talking! You've already failed this test twice and you're still goofing off! Since you don't know how to listen, we'll be revisiting the Transformation Jutsu." Everyone, except me of course, groans. 

As we line up, I decide to go first. I transform into Iruka and make about 10 clones form around me. I transform back and disperse my clones. Then, I walk over to a wall, lean on it, and start reading my novel, Icha Icha Paradise. Iruka sweatdropped. She really is just like Kakashi.

As the others go, I don't really pay attention to any of them. Except Naruto's.

"Transform!" There's a gust of smoke and suddenly, there's a female Naruto standing there with smoke covering her... ahem... feminine parts.

Even though I know it's Naruto, I can't help but have a nosebleed. 

What is wrong with me?! I really need to stop reading those books. But they're so good~

Naruto transforms back and starts to laugh. "Ha! I got you with my Sexy Jutsu! Did you see that, Kira-Chan?" he asked, turning to me. He gasped. "K-Kira-Chan, you're having a nosebleed! Wait, did my Sexy Jutsu work on you?"

Everyone turned to me. "U-Um... n-no... I was just... thinking." I lied. Kiba smirked.

"About me?"

"In your dreams, Dog Breath." Some kids laughed.

Huh. Guess this place isn't so bad after all.

And.......... BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE! Whaddaya think? I think it's pretty good for my first Naruto fanfic. Anyway...

Who will Kira befriend?

Whose team will she end up on?

When will I stop acting like the narrator from SpongeBob?
