"Does he always paint on the walls?" Hyunjin asked softly.
"Yeah, he does." Minho scoffed.
"At first it was like, a rebellion thing, but then Miss Moon allowed him to do it." Felix explained.
"Chan is one of the most rebellious kids here. Due to his wol- hey wait! HYUNJIN! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?" Seungmin yelled out as Hyunjin stood up and began to walk away. "God damnit. He's going over there." Seungmin sighed as he stood up and followed Hyunjin.
"Not a good idea Hyunjin." Minho said to himself as he pulled out his phone.
"Get up Minho." Felix yelled as he stood up, walking to Minho and yanking him up.
"Hey! Why do I have to- Oo-" Minho began to say before his mouth was covered by a rushing Felix.
Once everyone reached the now still Hyunjin, they looked at him with fright, wondering what he'd do next.
"What's it about?" Hyunjin spoke out, crossing his arms and shifting his stance.
"I'm sorry?" Chan questioned coldly, never taking his eyes off of his work in progress.
"Every artist has a meaning behind their work. Wether it's a sketch, or a big mural. So, what's your meaning?" Hyunjin asked nonchalantly as the others panicked behind him.
Chan sigh. He did one last brush stroke before plopping the brush into the muddy paint water. He turned his head, his eyes landing on the panicked group first, before finally meeting eyes with the curious boy. "I don't like when people interrupt me." He spoke abruptly.
"And I don't like when people don't answer my question." Hyunjin snapped back, his hands now on his waist.
Chan smirked, getting down from his petite ladder. "Your a smart ass."
"Thank you, I appreciate the compliment." Hyunjin smirked, flipping his hair back like a drama Queen.
"Hyunjin be careful!" Felix whispered.
"He's right, Hyunjin. You really should be more careful with who's buttons you push." Chan snarled, flashing his eyes their signature fire orange.
"You should be careful who you talk to like that." Hyunjin said, taking a step forward as he quickly flashed his lilac eyes.
"Hm. I guess I should. Especially when they can't control their powers." Chan said, the smirk continuing to linger on his lips.
"Clearly you can't either. Why else wouldn't your eyes have changed back yet?" Hyunjin said with a quirky attitude, leaving Chan stunned. "Now for the love of the heavens, will you just tell me the meaning behind the painting?"
"I- fine. But not because of you." Chan said, turning back towards his mural. "To two princes. Pretty obvious, let's be honest. Them looking at the castle is the last time they will ever see it. This Prince here-" Chan paused as he pointed to the painted shadow on the left. "- his father shunned him from the kingdom because he fell in love with the other Prince here. They had two options, break their love and stay in the kingdom, or, leave and never be able to return."
"Their love was too strong, so they opted to leave and start their own legacy." Hyunjin let out quietly.
"E- exactly. Wait like actual spot on. How the fuck did you know that?" Chan questioned a bit aggressively as he turn to face Hyunjin.
"I- I don't- I don't know." Hyunjin stuttered.
"Hyunjin! We should go!" Felix whispered as he lightly yanked on Hyunjin's shirt sleeve.
"Stop." Chan said sternly, scaring Felix away.
"Sorry." Felix said quietly and quickly.
"You knew word for word what I was going to say. How?" Chan questioned.
"I- I don't know." Hyunjin said, his brain in a haze.
"You have to know some how. What did you do? Get into my head?" Chan pushed, stepping closer to the dazed and now helpless boy.
"I- I told you. I don't know how. I guess I just got a feeling. I swear I didn't get into your head, nor do I know how." Hyunjin said as clearly as he could, his hands shaking, his eyes flickering colors. A tell tale sign of an oncoming outburst if you knew him well enough.
"A feeling? A FEELING!? YOU DON'T JUST GET A FEELING ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" Chan screamed out, heads turning their way.
"Hey, dude! there's no reason to yell at him. He didn't do anything to you!" Changbin said out of no where, defending the scared puppy be once was rude to.
"Stay out of it Bin." Chan said.
"STOP IT!" Hyunjin yelled out. "JUST STOP!" He yelled once more, this time causing the fountain in the center of the court yard to burst and shoot water into the air, making it fall like heavy rain.
"Okay, we're done here. Fucking learn some manners Chan." Felix said, taking Hyunjin by the arm and leading him out of the court yard. "We'll catch up with you guys later!" He yelled out before opening the doors and walking into the building, the large doors slamming behind them. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"No. God he got to me. No one's ever gotten to me. Why did he get to me?" Hyunjin alsed himself. His voice wobbly, hands shaking, eyes filled with a small amount of tears as they fluttered.
"Okay, listen. We're going to go to the dorm room and play some music and you draw whatever you need to. And if you don't want to draw that it totally okay." Felix said sweetly. His everyday mannerism.
"I can't." Hyunjin spoke extremely softly.
"Yes you can." Felix said, his speed getting faster. "Can you tell me what part of the situation cause this to happen?"
"No. No, I- I don't know. He- he was yelling so much. So so much. I- I don't even know why it happened. Why did it happen? What happened?" Hyunjin questioned himself once more, the lights in the halls flickering ever so slightly as they walked by.
"Okay. Hey it's okay. It's going to be okay. Nothing happened and it won't. Chan is always off putting, but trust me, even though it may not seem as such, he has a soft side. I've seen him with the animals around campus. He's so soft to all of them."
"How is that supposed to help?"
"Right, sorry. But I'm not joking. Um- okay. Three more doors. God this feels like a mile still."
"Shh."
"Sorry. Being quiet now."
After a short few seconds that felt like an eternity, the two reached their dorm. Felix let go of Hyunjin and quickly got his keys, jabbing it into the doorknob and turning it quickly. Once the door opened, Felix yanked Hyunjin inside, closing the door harshly behind him before pushing Hyunjin onto his own bed.
"What now? Think Lix, think!" Felix spoke to himself, turning on a desk lamp, only for it to be flickering. "Damnit! Okay! Ummm let's see." Felix rushed over to his bed, trying to see if any of his small pushed animals sparked a calming sensation, but to no end.
He mentally slapped himself, turning around to see a completely shaking Hyunjin sitting on the bed whilst the lights in there room flickered. Felix looked around for quite literally two seconds before his eyes landed on a small black stuffed wolf. He rushed over to it, grabbing it and placing it in Hyunjin's hands, finally getting that comfortable spark he's been looking for. Hyunjin immediately took hold of it, putting it close to his heart and closing his eyes, the flickering getting increasingly slower.
"Oh thank god. I thought- nevermind." Felix said as he fell to him knees in front of hyunjin.
