Maya smiled while looking at everything. She was now 13 weeks pregnant with her fourth child. She saw as her sons and daughter were busy playing with Riley's little son as both their parents were standing aside talking. It wasn't a huge surprise to Maya that Cory and Shawn still got along after all this time. It would've been crazier if they were fighting. She smiled as she saw how her mother had picked up Layla and Layla started screaming. Josh had rushed over to Katy gently taking his daughter as he rubbed over her back.
"It's okay, Baby. It's okay," Josh said.
"Your children are clearly unbehaved and haven't been taught manners to, Maya," Katy said as Josh looked at his mother-in-law.
"Is that really coming from the woman who didn't even raise her own daughter?" Josh asked as Shawn stepped in.
"Calm down. Both of you. No need to jump down each other's throats," Shawn said.
"Layla is a year old, Mom, and she doesn't even know you," Maya said, acting calm, while Katy looked at her daughter.
"She'll act off because you may carry the grandma title, but Layla doesn't know you at all," Maya said.
"You taking his side over your mother's?" Katy asked.
"You threw your daughter out of your life after she got pregnant," Josh said as Cory and Alan looked at them.
"I was the one who stood by her side through all three pregnancies, who supported her with her YouTube and who definitely was there when she needed help," Josh said.
"Because you got something from it. You became famous as the lawyer and husband of teen mom sensation Maya Hunter," Katy said.
"Does your mother want me to lose my temper now?" Amy asked as Maya kept her mother-in-law off while her own mother looked how she addressed the woman that was almost twice her age.
"Don't worry, Mom. Hold on just a minute. Josh got nothing from this. All he's done is supported me through everything," Maya said as Katy scoffed.
"Until he can't use you anymore," Katy said as Josh handed Layla over to Riley.
"I've used Maya for nothing and I won't ever use her for anything. It is absolutely ridiculous that you are even thinking that," Josh said.
"Maybe not," Katy said.
"I'm 23 years old right now. I had gotten pregnant at 16 while staying with my boyfriend because my own mother couldn't cope to stay in the same apartment that we were held hostage in. You and Shawn left a 16-year-old girl alone for months on end and when Josh decided enough was enough, he took me in, and my life was perfect. When I got pregnant and we told people, you guys stopped my education, while Amy, the woman who was still unsure if her 19-year-old son's relationship with a high school student would work out, supported me against everything," Maya said as Riley looked at her grandmother and then back at her best friend.
"I didn't get to finish high school at the time, but I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, got married and on my own time, I finished high school. Kayden is now 6 and I have two other children. We aren't as unstable as you think. Josh brings in the majority money and my channel does contribute. But, there are days when we wonder what happens next. You worked yourself to death to provide for me, and I don't want that, because Joseph and Sophia aren't raising my kids. I am," Maya said.
"If you went to college that would have changed," Katy said.
"Your daughter just got asked to teach art at the Abigail Adams High School. And she got accepted into NYU to study art. Maya is still making a name for herself despite being a teen mom," Josh said.
"And the one person who has been consistent, has been Josh, and I know he won't ever leave. I may be 23 years old with a 6-year-old son, a 2-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter, but I won't have it any other way," Maya said.
