{ Camila }

Here I am following Jake out past my door. Well, he had one condition on how I should pay him for his cab money. At first I thought it was his cheeky move but then I decided to play along. You know, get to see what he had up his sleeve. Turns out all he wanted was just to be friends. That had me by surprise because I didn't expect such words from him.

I took my leather coat and his first act as my friend is taking me out. I watch him closely from behind as I text Ash that I'm headed out. Her response is instant.

"Alex is doing already too much. Have fun."

Yes she doesn't know I'm going out with the other brother. I bother not responding as I get in Jake's fancy car. In the short amount of time I've spent with him, I've learnt that his perfume is whatever is all scented in this car. The short amount of time doesn't even sum up to 10 minutes.

"Liv tells me you overheard my conversation with Alex about Martin." He says driving out of the side of the road from where his car was parked to the main road.

"I didn't overhear. I heard. It was loud enough for everyone to hear. And yes I mentioned it to her." I say without looking at him.

"Now she thinks that I had something to do with Martin ending things with her."

"Didn't you?" I ask.

His response is much appreciated because he chooses to remain silent. On a second thought, I think the idea of going out with him was rushed. I regret because all we have done since then is sort of start an arguement. I mean since our first encounter, we've had not a single meaningful conversation. He is probably angry at me because of what I told Liv. He shouldn't be since he's guilty.

Silence attributes to that.

The drive is silent until I'm surprised when he pulls over at the station.

The police station.

And, I turn to him.

"What are we doing here?"

"...Answering your ' didn't you' question."

With that he walks out of the car. I'm left here with questions spiraling all over my mind. My eyes follow him as he approaches one police officer. They appear to have a conversation before he points at the car. Yes, this friendship thing was a bad idea. Bad move Camila. Bad move.

I don't know for how long I'm seated here before another car pulls over next to Jake's. I watch a certain man walk out to open the backdoor. I'm confused to see Mrs. Walker as I've come to know as Liv's, Alex's and Jake's mom. She proceeds walking towards where Jake is. She seems all smiley when she shares a word for a minute with Jake. When for a second time Jake points at my direction, I know something is up.

Something is definitely up because Mrs Walker is here knocking at my window. Ofcourse, as a dumb person, I press down the window instead of opening the door.

"Camila." She's jovial. I mean she always is for the two times I've seen her. This being the second time. "It's really good to see you." She says happily. "Well, I didn't imagine I'd see you under this circumstances but I'm glad you're okay. Jake says you were discharged earlier today."

I just nod, for lack of a better thing to say. Like I attributed, dumb person.

"I know this might be difficult for you but do you think you could file charges on the man who assaulted you?" She asks and now everything makes sense. This is what Jake wanted all along. He baited me and like an idiot I fell for it and it's why I'm here.

Better to get on with it right?

"It'll take less than five minutes." Mrs Walker adds.

I just don't understand why. Sighing in defeat, with no other solution I walk out of the car. Mrs Walker is just all smiles as she snakes her arm on mine. Her assurance of everything will be fine is pretty calming. May be because she's used to this, or I don't know. We walk past Jake at the door, whom I spare one angry look and into the station. Mrs Walker is well known here, if the handshakes and warm welcome is anything to go by. I'm led to a different room where Mrs Walker sits beside me across an empty chair.
