Platform 9 3/4  - Hogwarts Express

'So... this is the all-impressive Hogwarts Express... how peculiar', Rosalie thought to herself as she weaved her way through the mass of people. Ignoring the stares as she walked past parents saying goodbye to their children and siblings peeved about not being able to go to Hogwarts with their older brothers and sisters. Rosalie even ignored a group of boisterous boys who were arguing over the best kind of chocolate.

Rosalie dropped off her main trunks before heading off to the line of train carriages. Walking down the aisle in search of an empty carriage, she happened to find one; putting her bag in the overhead storage, she took out a book, sat by the window and began to read.

A few minutes passed before she heard the compartment door open, and loud voices trail in. She didn't bother to look up as the loud voices quieted down, nor did she acknowledge the questioning glances directed at her.

"Excuse me? This --"

Rosalie held up her index finger, "shhh... reading."

Another voice chimed in, "but this is --"

Again, Rosalie held up her index finger and said, "shhh... reading."

At this point, the four boys were getting annoyed. Exchanging looks at each other as if to say who in Merlin's name is this girl?

"Look, this is our --" started a new voice.

"shhh.... reading."

Letting out an exasperated sigh, one boy, in particular, had enough. Marching up to Rosalie, he grabbed her book -- making sure not to lose her page though, that would be a disaster -- he closed the book before saying, "Now, you're not reading anymore, so you can listen to us. This cart is ours. It has been for the past five years, I don't know how you haven't gotten the memo, but you either need to leave or move over."

Rosalie gave the boy an exasperated look and said, "I'm new. How in Merlin's beard am I supposed to know there are assigned carriages?"

The boys share a look of surprise, assuming that she was just a Hufflepuff or something, but clearly, they were wrong. "Oh! Sorry, we didn't know. Hogwarts hasn't had a transfer student in over 100 years."

Rosalie rolled her eyes, "yea, well, now you know. Can I have my book back now?" she asked, an eyebrow raised.

Offering the book back, the offending boy said, "sure, sorry about that; I'm usually not so brash. I'm Remus, by the way, Remus Lupin." The boy in question was tall and lanky, although it was evident that he was still strong. He had brown eyes and sandy brown hair. He wore an oversized jumper -- which Rosalie was sure to be comfortable -- and simple jeans; he, too, had a book under his arm. However, what Rosalie noticed the most were the scars littered across any visible part of his skin, including his face. 'mmm... he must either have family issues or be a werewolf,' she mused to herself, noticing how similar the scarring was to a friend of hers back in Beauxbatons.

Taking the book, Rosalie replied, "I'm Rosalie Dupont, transfer from Beauxbatons," raising her brows at the other boys; they all started to talk over each other to introduce themselves to the girl. Having enough of the regular tomfoolery, Remus yelled at them, "one at a time, boys!"

With that, the first boy walked over until he was in front of Rosalie. The boy bowed, took Rosalie's hand, kissed it and introduced himself, "Sirius Black, from the noble house of Black, at your service, m'lady." Sirius had piercing grey eyes and long black hair. He seemed to have a glint of mischief in his eyes. He was tall, though not as tall as Remus. He was well-built but still on the lanky side. He wore a leather jacket which had a dress shirt underneath. Sirius wore tailored trousers and had his nails painted black.

The next boy came along, repeating what Sirius did. He lightly kissed the top of her hand before saying, "James Potter, from the noble house of Potter. It is so lovely to make your acquaintance Miss Dupont." Now, James was a well-built boy. He had brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind round-rimmed glasses. His eyes, like the other boys, held a glint of mischief. He was also tall, roughly around the same height as Sirius.

Unlike the other boys, the final boy didn't approach Rosalie, far too intimidated by her beauty. Instead, he stammered an introduction from near the cart door, "I-I-I'm Peter, P-P-Peter P-P-Petegriew." The nervous boy in question was equally as lanky as Remus but nowhere near as tall given that he was the shortest of the banit of boys. Peter wore a jumper with a collared shirt underneath and a simple pair of jeans. He had sandy blonde hair and brown eyes. While appearing timid, he, too, held a look of mischief, though not nearly as much as the other boys.

"Well, now that that's settled, let's set our stuff away," stated Remus, eager to get to the book he was reading. On that note, all of the boys moved into action, putting trunks on the rack above whilst taking out things magazines and other trinkets before collapsing into their unsaid assigned seats, with Remus across from Rosalie, James beside him, Sirius next to Rosalie and Peter next to Sirius.

Rosalie decided to have a bit of fun with the boys, casting a nonverbal spell towards Remus's book; she waited. When he opened his book to read, glitter burst out into his face. There was no other sound but laughter in the cart. Remus groaned, appearing annoyed, even though it was evident that he was trying to hide his smile, "alright! Which one of you boys did this?"

The boys shared a look of confusion when nobody fessed up. "It wasn't any of us Remus," explained Sirius. Finally, Rosalie, still giggling to herself, decided to fess up. "You should see the look on your face! HA! It's hilarious! There's glitter in your hair and everything!" she said in between laughs.

The boys looked at each other outstounded before cracking a grin. "Something tells me we're going to get along just fine, love," said James, a grin still plastered on his face.
