Eddie Kaspbrak was sitting in his English classroom the minute it happened. His phone pinged loudly, and Eddie flinched. He put his hand into his backpack, ignoring the nasty look he received from the teacher. Eddie glanced at his phone, silencing it and apologizing to the teacher. 'I'll check it later.' He thought.

When school finally let out Eddie was able to check his text messages. It's from Richie and reads; "Meet at the park after school?" Eddie rolled his eyes. He replied with a thumbs up, and headed to the park, wondering how Richie was able to send a text in class. After getting to the park, Eddie looked around for his friend.

"Hey, Eds!"

There he was, Richie Tozier in the flesh. Eddie smiled softly, and replied with "Hey." Richie was a skinny kid, and had messy, wavy black hair. He wore a big, un-buttoned shirt over his t-shirt, which Eddie thought made him look homeless, especially with his hair. Eddie had gotten used to Richie calling him 'Eds' or 'Eddie Spaghetti.' Although, sometimes he wondered why Richie had nicknames for him but not the rest of the Losers.

"How come you sent a text during class?"

Eddie joined Richie on the swings, looking over at him. Richie only shrugged, grinning widely. He had always been like this, messing around with the Losers. He asked Eddie something, replying with 'Your Mom,' and Eddie rolled his eyes. He wondered how Richie kept the tradition going all these years, making those jokes.

"I've got to go home now."

Eddie looked at his watch, running off. He needed to get home to his mom, or else she would go wild. He would speed up his pace, dashing home. Soon Eddie arrived home, being welcomed by a worried mother who though he was gone.
