The Maizono's. Kusuo Maizono, the head police officer of Japan, and his wife, Candi, who used to be a popular East-Asian singer in the 90s. However, she was kicked out of her group after announcing her pregnancy. She gave birth to her first daughter on the 7th of July 2000. Her name, Sayaka.
Sayaka Maizono was everything to her parents, they loved her so much, that they decided to grow their family bigger. Emiko Maizono was born on April 4th 2004. The sisters got along together just fine, which made Kusuo and Candi treat them the best way kids could be treated. However, this did not last forever.
Sayaka had always loved singing, she sung all the time at home. Both parents absolutely loved hearing her voice. Because Sayaka clearly had a future, they focused more on her voice than her grades. They waited for Emiko to find her voice, but she wasn't like her sister at all, Sayaka liked attention and meeting new people, Emiko was quiet and missed every opportunity she had to talk to new people. Luckily, she had friends, she had friends because people loved her, a reason was not clear and Emiko hated the attention that she got.
When Sayaka turned 11, Candi decided to record her singing and posted it online. The video blew up like crazy, so many Company's wanted Sayaka to train. Candi had experienced this herself, and since her career got cut short, she wanted to relive her childhood through her daughter.
ICE. the entertainment company many famous Asian singers AND Candi where enrolled in, requested to scout Sayaka, Candi loved the idea and when she finally begged Kusuo to agree, Sayaka started training just a few months later. Kusuo and Candi where so proud and attached to Sayaka and her talent, they began to loose hope and interest for Emiko, even though she was a good student in school.
The more Sayaka trained, the abuse towards Emiko grew, it started with neglect, then verbal abuse, but the worst part began when Sayaka got put in a group. Their cousin, Sakura Maizono, was also in the same group, AKB48. So Sayaka gained so much popularity amongst the other members, when she was 13, she was put into a subunit, called PIXY. And in 2016, she left the group to go global, and make English songs. Kusuo and Candi where more then proud, and overworked Sayaka too much. They didn't care if she was getting too exposed for her age, all they cared about was money.
Emiko blamed Sayaka for what her parents where doing to her, she tried avoiding contact with Sayaka but it never lasted long. Sayaka had no control over the way her parents treated her sister, the abuse wasn't her fault, however, Sayaka's future was way clearer then Emiko's could ever be.
