The weekend rolls around and you decide to take up on a babysitting offer, the woman who called you had said her and her husband were having a date night and desperately needed a babysitter for their 6-year-old daughter, Charlotte. They lived close by so walking there in the late afternoon wasn't really a problem as you knew you'd be walking back late at night as well.

When you arrive at the house you can't help but stop for a second admiring how nice their house is on the outside, never have you babysat for anyone with such a nice house before, most of the time it was cranky old parents who wanted a night out at the casino. Most of the time they'd turn up a couple of hours later than what you agreed to and reeking of cigarettes and alcohol, so this was definitely a nice change.

You ring the doorbell which plays a fun little melody and you're greeted by a mother who is struggling to put on her earing and great big pearly white smiling at you. "Hi darling, come on let's get you inside". As you walk inside a little girl comes running around the corner to stand behind her mother's leg. She has a small smile that tells you she's eager to say hi but also very shy. "She has a brother who is the same age as you but he can't be trusted to babysit" the mother says while rolling her eyes. You can tell that her husband is eager to leave so you quickly but into the conversation, "well you two go have fun, I'll take good care of her" you say smiling down to their daughter.

Even though you already knew her name you gave her a chance to introduce herself as you crouched down to her height, "what's your name sweetheart" you asked softly. She looks down at the ground and in her little soft voice she reply's back "Charlotte".

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" her face lit up with a smile "come with me I want to show you my drawings" she excitedly says as she pulls your arm with her. You're sitting at the table drawing with Charlotte, curious, you ask her "why can't your brother be trusted to look after you?"

"He's always out partying and he never listens to mum and dad, plus he's super annoying" you chuckle at her response, such a kid thing to say about their sibling, "why is he annoying?" "Well, when he's actually home all he does is talk about this girl he goes to school with and how he's just so in love" she says pulling a disgusted look.

"Oh really and who is this lucky girl"

"I'm not sure he never actually says her name"

That's weird, you were about to ask her another question but the sound of the front door opening diverted your attention. "I'm home!" a deep voice yelled, you leave the table to go see who it is. As you turn the corner you stop in your tracks, "y/n what are you doing in my house?". You were about to answer when Charlotte comes running around the corner "Yay! you're home" she yelled hugging his leg.

"Y/n this is my brother"

"Your brother is e/n?"

"Wait you know my brother already?" she asks with a face full of confusion. E/n has been your enemy for a long time now, most commonly people have enemies because their bullied by them or they have mutual beef etc. but since the first day that you met e/n, both of you have never been able to see eye to eye, every petty remark turns into an outburst and heated argument. To make things worse he's your typical 'play boy' of the school, every girl wants him, so he's ego is through the roof, he isn't the 'dating' type but he definitely doesn't hold back flirting with the girls who are ready to drop to their knees for him.

E/n answers her question "yes we go to school together". Suddenly Charlotte gasps "Is she the girl you're always talking about!?" you look up at him curious to hear his answer and see his bright red cheeks. You quickly change the subject by bending down to Charlotte, "You know what we should do, we should go get ice-cream" she starts screaming with joy and runs up stairs to put her shoes on.

You turn back around to face e/n with a grin plastered across your face "don't start y/n I don't have the energy for your bullshit" he says huffing. You shrug your shoulders acting like you have no idea what he's talking about but you're eager to push his buttons. "So who's this mystery girl I'm hearing about, hm?" you ask teasing him. "She doesn't know what she's talking about" he says sounding slightly nervous. It was unusual to see him so flustered since you've only ever seen his serious and tough act or his overly confident flirtatious act, Normally he's the one making girls flustered.

Charlotte comes back downstairs "I'm ready" she says jumping around. E/n grabs his keys, "I'll drive" you don't bother questioning him as it saves you from walking to the shops. You're in the front seat of e/n's car and Charlotte is in the back admiring the autumn trees changing colour. You suddenly flinch when you feel a hand on your thigh, "Um e/n, your hand is on my thigh" you say turning to him with a confused face.

"Does me touching you make you nervous" he says looking to where his hand is placed. You hate to admit it but being deprived of touch for so long and the heated tension between the two of you forms butterflies in your lower stomach but you could never give him the satisfaction of knowing he can make you nervous "Funny to think you make me nervous and no it's just unusual". "Do you want me to stop?" he says moving his hand higher and deeper into your thigh. Your breathing visibly becomes more heavier "no" you whisper. He chuckles taking his hand back "exactly what I thought", you sigh in frustration that you let him get to you like that.

"You're such a dick" you say in a quiet enough voice that Charlotte can't hear, you take a quick glance at e/n who has a clearly amused face and although you hate his guts you can't help but want him to touch you again.

You all get out of the car and head into the ice-cream shop, "what do you want Charlotte?" e/n asks her, "Hmmm, double choc-chip please" she excitedly says, "and you?" he asks turning to face you, you were a bit taken aback by his generosity tonight but answered anyway, "just cookies and cream please".

You're outside eating your ice-creams on a park bench and e/n gets up to put something in the bin. Charlotte motions for you to come closer to her "I think your the girl my brothers always talking about" she whispers.
