Part 14: Past

"I will have to say, she's quite cute." Jimin said as he poked the cheek of the little baby in his arms.

It's been a couple of days since the birth of their first child and the both of them are still beside themselves. They never would have thought they would get this far and now they're here trying to figure out what they're going to name their daughter.

"What do you think we should name her?" Jungkook asked as he came up and stood beside Jimin.

"I don't know. She kinda reminds me of the flowers with how happy and relaxed she is." Jimin stated as he rocked the baby.

"Hana." Jungkook looked at Jimin and smiled.

"Hana?" Jimin asked in a questioning manner as he looked at their daughter before looking back at Jungkook.

"Hana means flower and Happiness. So I think we should name her Hana." Jungkook pointed out making Jimin smile.

"I like that name. We'll go with that." Jimin replied as he hugged Jungkook in one arm while he held the little one named Hana in the other.

Hana looked up a squealed in excitement as Jimin handed her over to Jungkook. She had heterochromia eyes, with one being black and the other being a golden white color which mesmerized the two princes.

"I never thought we'd have a girl." Jungkook stated as he played with Hana. She was interested in grabbing a hold of Jungkook's fingers with her tiny hand before gazing at Jimin smiling and squealing.

"Me neither. Looks like we're going to be fighting off a lot of teenage boys in the future." Jimin huffed but smiled as he led Jungkook to sit down.

"Oh lord, I totally did not think about that. Not to mention we have no clue how to raise a girl. Our families have only had boys." Jungkook pointed out as he sighed.

"Well, we got each other and no one said being a parent is easy. Now that I think about it, I gave my parents hell. I don't really think any one way of parenting is right. As long as we work together, I have faith that we'll have a very respectful young lady and princess." Jimin pointed out as he sat beside Jungkook and smiled, cheering the other up.

"You're right. I think she'll grow up just fine. How's the training Xavier? I hear that the test for Ilayda's Commander position is a few days from now. Shouldn't you get going soon?" Jungkook asked, genuinely curious how the process was going.

"It's going good. I'm still getting used to not having my powers though. The rings power may have filled that void and made it strangely comfortable, but it still feels empty." Jimin said as he looked at the baby before looking at Jungkook and giving a small smile.

"I get what you mean. It kinda feels the same for me as well." Jungkook got up and put Hana in the bassinet before turning around and finding Jimin had already gotten up and was standing beside him.

"It's definitely going to take some time to get used to. That's for sure." Jimin replied as he looked down at the now sleeping Hana.

"You're leaving now?" Jungkook asked as he held the baby, standing outside the door of the house they shared.

"Yeah, unfortunately it takes a couple days to get there and if I want to get there in time for the test, I have to leave sometime today." Jimin walked up and stood in front of Jungkook.

"I'm going to miss you. You've got me through a lot this past year." Jungkook pointed out, now staring at Jimin.

"I'm going to miss you too and don't think that you haven't played any part in keeping me sane. I probably would have destroyed the place by now if it wasn't for you." Jimin retorted making Jungkook giggle.

"Well I pray for safe travels. Please get there safely and keep me updated." Jungkook said before sharing a kiss with him. It wasn't lustful but more so loving and his way of saying to come back safely.

"I will! I'm going to get going now." Jimin replied before pulling himself away from Jungkook unwilling and started to make his way to the path.

"Wait Jimin!" Jungkook shouted stopping Jimin in his tracks.

"Yes, kook?" Jimin asked turning around seeing that Jungkook's was now on the edge of the porch.

"The ring. You're still wearing it, correct?" Jungkook asked making Jimin puzzled.

"I am, what about it?" Jimin asked, confused why Jungkook stopped him.

"Well before you go anywhere, you should probably change the color of your hair so no one recognizes you." Jungkook pointed out making Jimin look up at his hair and grab a piece of it.

"I totally forgot about that. You're right I should change it. Was that all?" Jimin asked before turning his hair a dark brown like he did before.

"Yeah, from this day forward we're married and the rings are our wedding bands. I love you Park Jimin." Jungkook smiled with tears in his eyes, making Jimin's mouth drop before turning into a smile.

"I wouldn't want it any other way. I love you too Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin stated before turning back around and making his way down the path, ready to face the next chapter of both his and Jungkook's life.
