I lay the wreath upon the burning grave and stand slowly; I take a step back and watch the destruction on the field before me and behind my black veil, I smile.
"One down, one to go." Slowly I turn away from the blaze I look up to the smoky sky. I take a deep breath and free my blackened and damaged wings; I jump and soar to the sky. I release a grey feather, it was Af's last one; one I personally plucked from her back as I listened to her screams.
Reaching my apartment I use a strong gust of wind to throw open my balcony doors. I retract my wings. Looking around at the unsettled dust I remember the pain I caused my fellow sister, a sister who turned her back on me, giving me the opportunity to place my blade into the grey wings that she was given by the creator. I smirk as I turn towards the far corner. Hanging on the wall are pictures of my sisters, two have bright crimson crosses in the shape of the crucifix threw them. I walk closer and put another crimson crucifix onto the picture.
"Not long now sister," I whisper a warning.
I turn again I'm facing the other wall where I have placed all the photos of my last remaining sister. Staring at the photo in the dead center of the mass of photos in this particular photo she's looking towards me, meaning I managed to capture the divine features that give her grace away, her eyes electric blue, her high cheek bones and her muscular form given so her weak human form can withstand the purity of her elegance and strength.
Walking away from my hidden past I begin heading towards my balcony again. I catch a glimpse in the mirror of my dark form stepping back. I continue to stare at my reflection. Because of my current ranking, my skin is darker than those from Divinity. My eyes, grey with black specks reveal my soul and my high cheekbones that all the sisters had inherited from the creator reflect intelligence; my hair a fiery red which reflects my former rank but has been tainted with black because of my lose of grace.
Unable to look at myself I angrily twist away and I'm facing the open balcony. Curtains are swaying as if they belonged to a young girl wearing a light lace skirt - the doors; stand straight and unmoving like soldiers standing guard. Walking closer I feel the breeze tickling my arms. A slight wind and the faint sound of beating wings alert me that I was to be soon no longer alone. I step out onto the balcony and await the arrival of my visitor.
Loud angry beating wings greeted me. I smiled as my sister came into view. She landed on the rail and I mockingly bowed and greet her. "I see that anger and grief is laced in your aura."
She replied with a savage hiss.
"You know exactly why I'm laced with such emotions." My sister's form was shaking.
"And you sister are next!" I leaped into air and felt my wings extend into their full size as my wings adopt a rhythmical beat. My vengeful sister joined me in the air.
"No I won't be!"
She was the first to attack using her steady beating wings she spun and her wings sharpened on her command cutting my jaw and an almost paralyzing pain exploded in my head. I replied to her attack by pulling my dagger from its holster and driving it into her lower stomach. I was granted a cry of pain from her and then my own as she drove her nails into my neck.
"You can stop this sister your sins will be nothing they will be forgiven" My sister cried.
"Forgiven never forgotten, the creator should have listened the filthy vermin we call men need to be exterminated"
"Not even Af the angel of light could be saved from my darkness"
Retrieving my dagger from her stomach I drift backwards and allow my head to bow, I heard the sound of a sword being drawn and a quickened beating of wings throwing my head up I see my sister coming at me with her sword blazing blue I drew my own sword which put the dark nights to shame and charge at her but I blinked a second to early and a cry erupted from both her and I.
As I fall upon my sister's blade and her upon mine my head is thrown up and my chin connects with her shoulder,
A tear runs from my eye and mixes with blood and dirt.
"Sarandiel ruling angel of the twelfth hour you could've come back, the creator is forgiving"
My eyelid begins to droop; the disturbed dust turns into smoke behind my eyes. Sounds become unclear as if I was under water but a single voice rings clear.
"It was to late when I fell" Blood splattered from my mouth and stains her dress. Shaking her head she replied.
"I will return to the place of glory and grace, your soul is too blackened and corrupted to return but I will remember you sister" I felt as if I was falling, "I will lay your soul to rest but your ashes will stay upon the the earth and in the wind which the Holy father created"
"And you name will become Yehudiah Angel of Death"
My eyes close as the sound of flames erupt in my ears and my world faded to black.
