Chapter 40: Yay! Sleepover!

"So what do we do now?" Ryota asked.

They are finished eating their dinner and are now sitting on the floor of the empty living room, not knowing what to do next.

"For starters, go home," Mary said with her arms crossed. "I'll stay. Who knows what that dumbass will do next."

"I'm staying too!" Yumeko announced cheerfully. "How about you, Tsubomi-san?"

"I-I..." Everyone looks at Nanami which resulted in her nervously looking at the floor. "I'm going to stay."

"Then I'm staying too," Kirari told everyone.

"K-Kaichou!" Sayaka blurted in surprise.

"Don't you have places you need to go?" Mary annoyingly asked her.

"As a matter of fact, I do," the Student Council President answered. "And that place is here."

"If the President is staying, I'll be staying too!" her Secretary announced.

Mary sighs and rolls her eyes due to the latter's response. She can't believe that they will be spending the night with the person who turned them into a housepet.

"I-I think I'm going to stay..." Ryota awkwardly told everyone but they ignored him.

"Yay! Sleepover!" Yumeko cheered and clapped her hands. "This is gonna be fun!"

"No," Mary refuted.

"Huh?" Yumeko asked confusedly. "What do you mean 'No'?"

"No, we are not having a sleepover," Mary replied. "Well technically, yes, we are having a sleepover but no, it's not the one you are thinking of, Yumeko."

The blonde-haired girl stands up and looks around the living room looking for something. "Now what can we use as a sleeping bed here?"

She continues to look around the living room but eventually stops when she realizes that there's none. "Seriously, how the fuck can someone live in a shit place like this?!" she yelled.

"If it would help, I think I saw a lot of alcohol cardboard boxes outside," Ryota told Mary which resulted in the blonde-haired girl glaring at him.

"And you just told me about that now?!"

"Y-You didn't ask—"

"My god Ryota you're so useless!" Mary yelled at him and stormed out of the house.

"W-wait!" Ryota stands up from sitting on the floor and follows her outside which made the atmosphere between the remaining people in the living room become silent.

"I-I..." Nanami looked at everyone before speaking again. "I'll help them with the cardboard boxes."

"Jabami-san, are you coming with me?" she asked Yumeko who was engaging in a staring contest with the Student Council President.

"Oh, I'm fine staying here with the President and her Secretary, Tsubomi-san," Yumeko replied without taking her eyes away from the white-haired President sitting in front of her. "Go on without me."

"O-Okay..." Nanami closes the door and left.

"Sayaka," Kirari called her personal assistant.

"Kaichou," Sayaka responded and took a step closer to the President. "How can I help you?"

"Why don't you help Saotome and her friends outside?"

"A-Are you sure, Kaichou?" Sayaka asked hesitantly. "I'm fine staying here—"
