Spring was known for new beginnings, meanwhile, the season symbolizes birth and fertility in literature, but do you know what Spring represents in emotion?
Anger.
Unlike other women who love flowers and greenery, Haneul doesn't like any of them. She hates it, loathes it.
Unlike everyone, she didn't like new beginnings. Why? Because Haneul thought that moving on would make her feel like she was stepping out of her self-made path to bring justice to her sister's unreasonable death.
Yoon Soo-hee.
"Where were you?" Soo-hee winced, grasping the doorknob tightly hoping to find comfort in it while she looks scared, nervous even.
"Inhye-yah, w-when did you get home?"
In-hye arches an eyebrow while she quietly observes Soo-hee with a stern look that made the latter falter. Her body language was out of the question, she was jumpy and horrified that she finds out something ugly.
Her eyebrows furrowed in inquiry, she can make out a scar. Not any ordinary one, a burnt one. It wasn't a secret that Soo-hee was bullied in her school.
The only reason she and In-hye came from different schools and only meet at home, Soo-hee held her wrist tightly even when her scars were hurting.
She gasped when In-hye clasped her wrist into her, the pressure made her knees weak and fell on the floor.
In-hye kneeled as she hurriedly checks her sister's sleeves only to see a hefty amount of burnt wounds on Soo-hee's body, In-hye can only scoff at it.
"I told you to call me if someone's bothering you..." she muttered with a low tone. Soo-hee's eyelids were brimmed with tears, memories of every little thing Yeon-jin did made her sob more.
"I was so scared... I never got to tell you because I was scared that they might hurt you..." Soo-hee mumbled as salty tears overflowed her eyes.
"Who cares if I get hurt?! They already hurt me the moment they touched you! I should give them a payback..."
She raises an eyebrow at Soo-hee's strong grip on her wrist.
"Don't! If you do that they'll make you suffer too! I don't want that to happen to you..."
Haneul remembered formerly Yoon In-hye, she silently gaze at the table with a hard stare. Yeo-jeong sipped on his coffee to try and lessen the stress and shock he had at her revelation.
"I should have plucked their eyes and beat them to a pulp, don't you think so, doctor?" Yeo-jeong shifted in his seat feeling uncomfortable under Haneul's ferocious stare as he smiled awkwardly.
"You couldn't have done that... If you did they would probably send you to jail." Yeo-jeong replied earning himself a blank smile, it almost reminded him of Dong-eun.
